The original Tumult starts modest, but builds up to an intense moment of full force, which is supported by minimal yet heavy drums. Fisssh uses his intelligent percussion game to give the original a different direction. With intense filtering and layering he succeeds to flip the originals sequence into a new one. Sågtand almost overrules itself with its sequenced penetrating saw, distorted minimal kicks and clever positioned high hats. This haunting tool let’s no place untainted. Sfär closes the EP in style with a rolling sequence combined with an ongoing soundscape in the background.

The 10th release of Float Records will be celebrated in style by label owners TWR72. They present you their own new EP called ‘X’. Three original groove monsters supported by an intense and profound remix from Endlec.
 
X1 has a remarkable and outspoken bassline with a slighty ‘back in the days’-feel created by the drums. Slowly the organ theme grows and grows until you get used to it. Heavy hitting claps make sure to keep your attention towards the break. And then… X2 has a driving groove as the main subject. Steered by an almost annoying high pitched pad and later some haunting strings. The real science starts when Endlec works his magic. His unique drum programming and distorted yet sophisticated approach of the elements creates the best remix. X3, the fast groover with a slick bassline, a cheeky synth and jacking drums is perhaps a safe approach. But we guarantee this will work on every dancefloor. As a digital bonus there is another brilliant remix by Endlec. Judge it yourself.

It all started with a demo in our mailbox of a 18 minutes long track without a beat. Deauwd was the one who had the balls and confidence to send it. There was no doubt this guy was talented and here we are presenting his debut EP on Float Records: Adept. 

Deauwd his love for techno has translated into a real varied EP. With the 1st track Adept he goes full force with a thump mix of oldskool and minimal elements. No doubt the sequence gets stuck in your head for a long time. 120 is the 2nd track on the EP. This 18 minutes long masterpiece takes you on an atmospheric journey which builds up really slow and subtle. Just in time you can hear the first tones leading to the transformation of the sequence. Then it opens up like a beautiful flower in outer space. Duality on the flip side is the little kooky brother of Adept. Once again a thump mix of oldskool and minimal elements, but this time with a startling arrangement. You never know what to expect next. Last of the bunch is Litter. High BPM, killer bassline, snappy beats and a fantastic sequence. Once again a talented new producer on Float Records! We hope you like it as much as we do.

TWR72 is back with a full new story starring Lucid as the lead. Lucid dropped out of space on a world called planet earth. It's luminous and vivid appearance were instantly clear. At first Lucid was a bit reserved but during it's first steps it opened up and showed some colorful emotions and hints of it's personality. With detailed patterns of communication Lucid tried to find a way through this new world. Erudite, which was already for a more prolonged time on planet earth, picked up the incomprehensible code from Lucid and reproduced it into a solid and clever message. Erudite was keen enough to think of a way to communicate back with Lucid as it noticed Lucid needed help. But it needed someone else to bring the message to Lucid. So Erudite asked help from Colloquial who could easily transcript the message back to Lucid. Colloquial used different types of frequencies to connect to Lucid, but it wasn't that easy. Lucid already travelled further and was hard to reach. Therefor Colloquial tried to use heavier elements to make a more solid composition. Unfortunately not only positive things arrived from space. Aporia was a rather negative influence which disturbed the link between Colloquial and Lucid. Aporia tried to force the communication by continuously changing the elements of the message. But it wasn't all that bad, because at the end Aporia brought the two important elements of the message together.

The 7th Pi Electronics release hosts Chicago based producer, Jonathan Krohn, also known as Stave. It also includes a remix by Bristol based artist, known by the name Pessimist.

Some might be familiar with Stave’s music from his involvement with the collaborative project “Talker”. Here on this solo take, he delivers 4 original tracks to showcase his varied approach to Techno. From fast, drone oriented broken beats, to emotional synth melodies and industrial leaning hypnotic techno, PI07 shows the artist at his most expressive. The release is topped up by the remix of Drum and Bass affiliated artist Pessimist, who reworks track PI07.4 in his methodically dark style.
