Hot on the heels of our successful takeover of Brussels’ seminal institution, Fuse, fellow resident DJ and Metropolis co-founder Altinbas pops by our weekly series with two hours exploring the broadest part of his influences, somewhere between dubbed-out meanders, UK bass-influenced motifs and straightforward techno buildups that pack a punch. Moving the cursor from immersive post-industrial scapes to pared-down, club-oriented architectonics, the Belgian jockey and producer will have you mesmerised from start to finish. Bosnian-built and -bred Sev Dah may be a Swedish expat, but the Balkan blackness clings strongly to the bleak percussions and rigidly uneasy synthetics that unwillingly fuse into his strongly individual take on techno.

He has been at the front of the underground scene playing all over Europe, which includes playing legendary gigs in Tresor and Berghain. Signed to respected labels such as Random Island, Mote Evolver and KSR he quickly gnawed his way into the scene’s core of DJs and producers. Sev is even managing new projects on his own label Proletarijat since 2016.
 
With influences ranging from Stigmata and Mills to Master Reese and Petar Dundov, Sev Dah is a versatile but headstrong DJ that can gently ease a thumb in at midnight or fervently thrust it down the hatch at peak time.

Constructing complex sonic cathedrals from a mind- and toolset born of both the UK as the EU, the artist going by the name of Decka, presents quite a unique panoply of sounds to his willing listeners. His music reflects a fascinating blend of bone-stripping Techno and blissfully blinding Bass, forging a musical mélange looking both to the big room Industrial sound of the German capital, where he nowadays resides as well as the sub-low pressure rooted in his hometown of Bristol.

Elisa Batti is a DJ, producer and sound designer based in Amsterdam. A polyhedric artist that roots her career in a heterogeneous background, where technology, art and music come together. She is constantly pushing the boundaries of contemporary music in her projects, striving to create multidisciplinary pieces that challenge and expand its limits.

Next to her own artistry, Elisa also runs the label Immaterial Archives since 2018, where she aims to release high quality techno from well established producers and also from upcoming talents. She also curates the series V-Eclipse which supports female-identifying producers and producers within the queer community. Her sets are pure bred techno, ranging from hypnotic and deep dark to vibrant and energetic. When she plays, she always strives to add her own personal touch, leading the crowd through a journey!

Thoms Traxx joins for DifferentSound Podcast #188.

Thoms Traxx is a gentle soul with fierce determination and a meticulous mindset - all traits that reflect his creations and performances. He has a strong predilection for the more hypnotic & rhythmic soundscapes with the aim to deliver a high-energy level storyline that shifts the listener into a transcendental state.
