The spectrum of Float Records is again extended with latest signing Dold. Housed in Sweden, this talented new producer delivers three analog pieces of music. Fisssh takes care of the remix to show you his approach. 

The original Tumult starts modest, but builds up to an intense moment of full force, which is supported by minimal yet heavy drums. Fisssh uses his intelligent percussion game to give the original a different direction. With intense filtering and layering he succeeds to flip the originals sequence into a new one. Sågtand almost overrules itself with its sequenced penetrating saw, distorted minimal kicks and clever positioned high hats. This haunting tool let’s no place untainted. Sfär closes the EP in style with a rolling sequence combined with an ongoing soundscape in the background.

The 10th release of Float Records will be celebrated in style by label owners TWR72. They present you their own new EP called ‘X’. Three original groove monsters supported by an intense and profound remix from Endlec.
 
X1 has a remarkable and outspoken bassline with a slighty ‘back in the days’-feel created by the drums. Slowly the organ theme grows and grows until you get used to it. Heavy hitting claps make sure to keep your attention towards the break. And then… X2 has a driving groove as the main subject. Steered by an almost annoying high pitched pad and later some haunting strings. The real science starts when Endlec works his magic. His unique drum programming and distorted yet sophisticated approach of the elements creates the best remix. X3, the fast groover with a slick bassline, a cheeky synth and jacking drums is perhaps a safe approach. But we guarantee this will work on every dancefloor. As a digital bonus there is another brilliant remix by Endlec. Judge it yourself.

It all started with a demo in our mailbox of a 18 minutes long track without a beat. Deauwd was the one who had the balls and confidence to send it. There was no doubt this guy was talented and here we are presenting his debut EP on Float Records: Adept. 

Deauwd his love for techno has translated into a real varied EP. With the 1st track Adept he goes full force with a thump mix of oldskool and minimal elements. No doubt the sequence gets stuck in your head for a long time. 120 is the 2nd track on the EP. This 18 minutes long masterpiece takes you on an atmospheric journey which builds up really slow and subtle. Just in time you can hear the first tones leading to the transformation of the sequence. Then it opens up like a beautiful flower in outer space. Duality on the flip side is the little kooky brother of Adept. Once again a thump mix of oldskool and minimal elements, but this time with a startling arrangement. You never know what to expect next. Last of the bunch is Litter. High BPM, killer bassline, snappy beats and a fantastic sequence. Once again a talented new producer on Float Records! We hope you like it as much as we do.

Isomorphism is achieved when an operation can be performed on two objects of different origin and yield equivalent outcomes; different means to the same ends. Secus and Amnesiac Host illustrate this symbiosis on 'Isomorphic,' their collaborative debut release for Darkroom Bureau.

The pair joined forces with a mutual interest in hardware synths, working to illustrate the deep and atmospheric sides of their production techniques. The EP features an eponymous track they coproduced in November 2019, two new original mixes 'Disintegrate' and 'Midnight Run' by Secus, as well as a remix of 'Midnight Run' from Amnesiac Host.

For Secus, this release follows up the 'Interlinked' EP on Ascetic Limited, released in January 2020. Amnesiac Host follows a recent single 'ifconfig,' released on the V/A compilation of Operandi Records in March 2020.

Detroit based Techno producer Uun drops his latest Soma release, This Machine EP. This newest EP has the experience producer make it a hat trick of releases with Soma and he continues to develop his raw, unique sound with a devastating 4 track EP

False Memory is the perfect opening track, its broken beat and breaks infused feel is the ideal, slow burning starter whilst retaining his signature deep and dark vibes. As the name might suggest, Doombringer is a 4 to the floor banger. Pulsating atmospheres deliver the intensity as thundering kicks lead the charge. Sun Disk heads back into broken beat territory but leans on a more hypnotic and tripped out feel as Uun once again shows that he can work in groove and subtlety to his productions. Mask Off closes out the EP in more thundering form as jarring drums invade relentlessly as Uun’s epic atmospheres create daunting soundscapes.
