Claire Coupland brings a graceful contemporary feel to indie folk. Lush with full and beautiful instrumentation including fiddle, organ, mandolin and backing vocals, she moves audiences with gripping songs, soulful vocals, and addictive melodies. Her songs build and breathe, and are written without losing the emotional platform great songs come from. Her seasoned ensemble brings powerful arrangements to life, and her songs cut straight to the heart. Folky, rootsy, and with a splash of Americana, her music also captures the influence and essence of 1960s/70s folk musings such as Sandy Denny, Gordon Lightfoot and Joni Mitchell. Because of this, Coupland's music delights fans of all ages.

Claire and her band have been gigging extensively in Toronto/GTA/Victoria with since 2012, and have had great reviews from music blogs such as canadianbeats.ca and newcanadianmusic.ca. She has been the feature Artist On Board for VIA Rail Canada for three trans-continental journeys since 2016, as well as a feature songwriter for the Humber College Producer In Residence week with Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd's The Wall, 30 Seconds To Mars, KISS). She was also recently featured as an artist in rotation with The City of Toronto's Music 311 Winter Playlist. With two independent band tours under her belt including a 2.5 week tour of southern Ontario and and a 3 week tour of BC/Vancouver Island, which included stops at The Filberg Festival (Comox) and Harmony Arts Festival (Vancouver), she is busy planning her newest EP release, set to come out in spring, 2018.
