Two years ago me and my son went to the beautiful city of Lisbon. I do hope I get to go there soon again and enjoy the lovely atmosphere, people, music, food, narrow streets and beautiful buildings.

Yesterday I started my small tribute to the lovely city, I finished it today and hope you will enjoy the listen.

Hi there and welcome to my 2024 Christmas release, 'Winter Wonderland'. Composed as a special Christmas gift to everyone involved in Music For Brains project.

I am so immensely proud to nearing the end of my third year as the composer for this special project and hope that this track will bring special Seasons greetings to all.

For me, this track conjures up the magical energy of this time of year, the busy towns and Christmas markets. Families and friends of all ages coming together to spend time together, either before or during the Christmas holidays. The excitement of children looking forward to their toys and family games. The joy of grandparents being surrounded by their family celebrating special times past and present. A time of year when we can give praise for what we have and spare a thought or some time and charity helping those less fortunate. The hope and prayers for peace and harmony in a world that seems to be blighted with conflict.

I hope this track brings you some special thoughts and perhaps a moment to rest and reflect upon your own feelings.

Every year I always enjoy writing a new Christmas song and this year opted for a song about being apart from some you love.

Project RESIDUE (Sleeping Though the Good Parts)

Si les plus beaux paysages sont au-dessus de la ligne d’horizon chaque continent a son génie du ciel ....  Le ciel change chaque jour et imprime d’imperceptibles nuances grâce à ses nuages aux mille et une formes. Tout ciel nuageux en forme de gaze longiforme donnent cette « mélancolique lessive d’or du couchant » dont parlait si bien Rimbaud .... La fin d'été approche et nous pouvons observer maintenant un ciel plein de gros nuages blancs et aux nuances de gris, bourgeonnants, rembourrés, cotonneux, mais aussi lumineux comme des lampes au reflets lactescent …. 
J'ai essayé d'être représentatif de ce phénomène avec les nuances harmoniques de ce concept ….

If the most beautiful landscapes are above the horizon line each continent has its genius in the sky .... The sky changes every day and prints imperceptible nuances thanks to its clouds with a thousand and one shape. All cloudy sky in the shape of a long gauze give this "melancholic laundry of the sunset" of which Rimbaud spoke so well .... The end of summer is approaching and we can now observe a sky full of large white clouds and shades of gray, budding, padded, cottony, but also luminous like lamps with lactscent reflections …. I tried to be representative of this phenomenon with the harmonic nuances of this concept ....

Verse 1
I am Commander Hale… and this is the record of my passage.
From the first ignition burn above the red sands of Asterion,
to the far edges where the star maps fade
and the silence becomes a living thing.

Verse 2
I’ve crossed the dust rings of Vantor,
where the storms rise like ancient titans,
their shadows dragging across our hull
as if testing the strength of our resolve.
I held the controls steady,
listening to the ship breathe,
feeling its pulse sync with mine.

Verse 3
I have drifted through the ice corridors of Lumea,
those frozen pillars glowing like trapped ghosts.
Even now, I can still hear their crystalline hum,
like a choir mourning something older than time.

Verse 4
On Kerevan, the ground trembled beneath our landing gear.
A world so alive it felt hostile to our presence—
yet it welcomed us in its own brutal way.
We walked its obsidian plains,
boots echoing against the cold,
knowing we were the first,
and maybe the last, to ever see that horizon.

Verse 5
Between the planets, there were the quiet hours—
the long stretches of darkness
where the stars stood still,
watching, judging,
or simply waiting for us to disappear.
Out there, even a commander feels small.
But small doesn’t mean afraid.

Verse 6
Every world changed me.
Every leap across the void carved another truth into my bones.
Now I carry fragments of them all—
the storms, the ice, the trembling earth, the silence.
They live in me like constellations,
guiding the next jump,
the next risk,
the next discovery.

Verse 7
And though the journey isn’t over,
I know this:
the road from planet to planet
never truly leads outward.
It leads inward…
to what we become
when the universe dares us
to keep going.
