A life long lover of nature and constantly intrigued by the natural world and the invisible world of sounds that surround us. This has taken me on a journey of trying to combine my love of exploring and documenting nature with my passion for recording and understanding sound. The idea has since manifested into a number of interesting projects and is in a constant state of evolution. I like the idea of using art as a way to understand the world of science, using imagination to explore scientific ideas beyond the limits of traditional scientific methodology.

I have built up the gear to record and capture sounds for use in films, interviews and music projects or you can check out the library of sounds. I have worked on a number of film projects in a number of different roles and enjoy working behind the camera, which has helped how I work with sound. I like being able to provide a different point of view and unique service for people who like the idea of thinking outside the box, because I live outside the box.

Oh! "SiD is SID" or "SiD as Sid Siddsen"... No, that's not a tacky 80s-track, and not a has-been reggae band from Berlin either. We're talking about SiD here!
 
1982, 1992... Berlin born and bread... holiday job: learning club culture... Stop... Walfisch/FANTASIA/HOUSESYNDICATE/LOVE PARADE... Stop... Berlin in the 90s, you know the score.
 
You've not heard of him? Try googling! Depending on where you are, google might suggest SID Display Technology. Or, if you are in Germany, it will say Sports-Information-Dienst (Service). That's correct. Well, not really, but it makes a lot of sense. When SID's in action, everybody moves. Next day muscle soreness guaranteed. But hey, dancing is a workout, right?
So, try google again: SID DJ. There you go! We humbly suggest adding the powerful term Soundcloud to your search. Press PLAY, and further questions will be moot.
 
But SID's not only a DJ; he is a producer, laser musician, a key to whatever and event organiser.  Co-founder of Potsdam/ Berlin based label Varied Records. In 2009, SID and his DJ-colleague Mira launched the networking event 3plus1. This regular club night has become a Berlin institution and is hosted reguarly at the lovely "Salon zur Wilden Renate".
 
And: yes, Bar25, yes, Kater Holzig, Katerkomben, 25 hour marathon sets, Lazer Ramon, interactive networking projects and all that stuff. But let's not dwell on the past; let's talk about right now: SID is a DJ that can put a whole new spin on a party. Someone to really look forward to. Not only to his sound, but to him personally; to the good and easygoing guy he is.
 
SID is on the way, and he wants the way of doing as target. Does he have one goal? No, one's too puny.
SONAR tomorrow, the revenue office the day after that and please, no meetings on mondays.
Here's guy who is fully integrated into the world of electronic music; just as passionate, down-to-earth and crazy as you and me. HiFive!

SID ist nicht nur DJ, sondern auch Gründer, Produzent, Lasermusiker, Schlüssel für was auch immer und Veranstalter. Als Co-Gründer des Potsdam /Berliner labels Varied Records war er bis 2015 mit Ordinary Subject (REDUCED) Seite an Seite. Gemeinsam mit DJ-Kollegin Mira wurde 2009 die Netzwerkidee 3plus1 ins Leben gerufen. Diese ist in Berlin inzwischen eine Institution und residiert momentan regelmäßig im Salon zur Wilden Renate.
 
Und weiter: Ja, Bar25, ja, Kater Holzig, Katerkomben, 25-stündige Marathon-Sets, Lazer Ramon, interaktive Projekte und all der Kram. Doch sprechen wir nicht von gestern, sondern vom Hier und Jetzt: SID ist ein DJ, der einen ganzen Abend komplett umkrempeln kann. Einer, auf den man sich wirklich freut. Auf seinen Sound, klar;  aber eben auch auf ihn als Typ.
 
SID ist auf dem Weg, und sein Weg ist das Ziel. Morgen SONAR, übermorgen Finanzamt aber hauptsache Montags keine Termine. Ein Mann, voll integriert in die Welt der elektronischen Musik, so leidenschaftlich, bodenständig und verrückt wie wir alle. HiFive!

Dreamy indeed.  Although the cavernous backbeats do follow conventional rhythm patterns of contemporary dubstep / trap / glitch, they have been engineered to sound more epic and cinematic opening the floodgates to a mind expanding sea of symphonic sound design.  Mysterious samples and atmospheric pads are cleverly interlaced to build and release waves of tension that swell and crash upon the shores of imagination.  Although dubby and ambient, these tracks still move along, sailing through space to parts unknown.  I’m going to stick to listening to this while awake though because if it was playing while I was sleeping I’d definitely have some messed up weird dreams.

Zurück im Filterwunderland
Kopfklang takes us for a third journey into and across the sonic landscapes of Filterwunderland. In a warm sunny ambient meadow, by the side of a gurgling, bubbling electro stream, Kopfklang brings us his signature sound, with the hints, glimpsed in the hazy distance, of huge moutainous ranges of hip-hop beats and wobbly dubstep bass.
