DUPLOC launches new prestigious VA vinyl series "140 ALLSTARS"

"When naming a project after one of the most iconic series that existed in dubstep, you know the pressure to deliver is on. But that's exactly what I needed. I have worked on quite a few compilation releases over the past years, and I'm happy with the results, but I wanted to raise the bar. The pioneering Tempa Records and its Dubstep Allstars unfortunately came to an end, but there is a place and time for everything. With respect to and in memory of Tempa's legacy, it felt appropriate to title the new project 140 ALLSTARS, especially since it is the new producers who are now responsible for keeping things fresh and interesting. And it is exactly that energy I'm trying to capture. In slight contrast to our other releases, this is a series specifically built for the sound system and I couldn't be happier with all the heavyweight cuts on Vol. 1, but most important it is sounding remarkably cohesive given it is a VA project. We are pressing the entire project on 12" vinyl and there will be at least four volumes coming through over the next year and a half.
