Curious eyes of pedestrians watching you and following you as you move slowly down the crowded promenade, sometimes clear, sometimes blurry. What are you doing here? Do you belong here? Back to the beach. Images of children playing, fighting, running. Echoes of an allegedly happy, distant past in face of an uncertain future.“

When in 2016, Marvin, Igor, Simon and Marvin convened in a rehearsal space to form Floral Shop, they sought to create an atmospheric, colorful flavour of independent pop music that reflected their individual backgrounds and identities as musicians. 

With their debut EP Parasols, the quartet from Münster and Cologne has encapsulated that spirit in five tracks which show them in different constellations as producers and instrumentalists – from sunlit opener Out Of Touch to explosive closer Anyplace, Floral Shop manage to fuse vibrant, melodic guitar pop with the texture and versatility of modern electronica.
