Show Me Love Like Heaven

This song is me doing what I secretly hope I can do as a parent: leave a message that will reach my son’s heart, even if it can’t reach his ears today.I wrote it for my son because right now, in everyday life, he doesn’t really want to listen to my advice or “serious talks.” But I know that music can slip past resistance. A melody he likes, a lyric that sticks, might one day resurface when he needs it most. So I poured into this song everything I wish he would understand about life, identity, and his inner power. At its core, the song tells the journey from being lost and pulled around by the world, to discovering that real peace and direction come from within. The “boy at the crossroads” is my son, but it’s also me, and anyone who has ever felt confused, pressured, or doubtful. By putting it into a story, I protect him from feeling attacked or judged; he can see himself in it without me pointing a finger.The chorus is the heart of what I want to tell him: instead of letting the outside world define him, he can listen to his own soul, use his imagination, and “feel the wish fulfilled.” In this song, I’m passing him my spiritual tools like imagining the outcome he wants, having faith in the unseen, and understanding that life reflects inner belief,wrapped in a melody he can remember.
