Florian Meindl returns to his imprint Flash Recordings in LP format once again with ʻCollideʼ. A connection of analog sounds and styles, Collide takes the listener on a dark techno journey including collaboration with studio wizard Jamie Anderson from the UK. 
Released on Florianʼs established label Flash Recordings, the LP follows in the musical footsteps of previous releases: deep techno embodying Florianʼs musical vision with minor chords meeting rough organic analog drums. 
Florian is an artist renowned for his technical prowess, and over the years has established an impressive producing base for him himself in his Berlin based Riverside Studio complex. With an ʻimpressiveʼ hardware set up including Modular Systems, an analog mixing desks as well as classic machines Roland 909. 
“I collect studio gear and records but I'm not an excessive collector. I use the things rather than to pile them, all the hardware in my studio is used regularly and if I don't need something anymore I see it and invest the money in a new thing I want.” 
The album has been clearly influenced by Florianʼs transition from producing almost entirely digitally for thirteen years to recording mainly analog jamming sessions and editing the end results after on the computer. The technical aspect is integral to Florianʼs musical journey that he takers the listener on. His talent lies in enabling the machines to speak and groove, to connect with them and create sounds and patterns. 
“I patched sounds from scratch with the modular system and shaped them in a very unique way so the workflow already gives me a more personal sound and possibility to shape it with my taste.”

After fourteen years of international performances and production, Florian has developed a special collection with his analog equipment, letting them speak for him in music where words just arenʼt possible. 
The nine track LP will be released in all digital stores on the 18th of May as well as in Florian's Facebook shop in the format of a limited to 100 units 8GB USB Card, which also includes the high-resolution studio master, files in 24bit.

With Anunnaki Burial Chambers EP, THEGOD01 lands on SMUTA delivering a fierce, ritualistic techno journey shaped by ancient mythologies and paleoastronautic narratives. As rich sonically as it is in social commentary, Marteka Fair's latest techno EP is a perfect fit for the budding discography of VAST.

Marteka Fair is from North Carolina, and the American DJ and producer is a key part of the local scene co-creating Liminal Space, a live concert series with visual artist Fluxxss that merges sound and image into a shared, sensory environment. She has not only appeared on club and festival line-ups alongside Rrose, Rødhåd, DVS1, and Bloody Mary, but also lists releases on Berlin's W133, Infra, and Maison Fauna, while being behind the A&R for VAST's releases.

The Life After Internet EP consists of four tracks along with remixes by Bekkler and JAK. It draws inspiration from a time when the information revolution lay at our fingertips, promising what seemed at the time like a utopian frontier of human connection.

Bekkler is a Berlin-based artist who is co-founder of Backhaus Records and resident at its affiliated event series, Backhaus Kollektiv, as well as gracing top labels like BCCO and PRTL WRX.

JAK is the SubSensory label boss from Portland, Oregon with over 20 years of industry experience. From hosting legendary events, to playing around the world, he includes music on imprint's such as Ricardo Garduno's Illegal Alien, Mike Derer's Northern Parallels, and Angel Alanis' Slap Jaxx.

"Lucid Thinking" communicates loudly and clearly that this will not be a forgettable record. Present and accounted for are all the tried-and-true hallmarks of specialist techno, but an inventive synth melody snaps the listener’s train of thought into the moment in a way that only the most skilled producers are capable.

No momentum is lost by the time "Access Denied" cues up. From its otherworldly groove to how its sound design taunts the listener with nonverbal vowel sounds, the single stands out as a case study in pushing the limits of what constitutes techno. It doesn’t deviate far from its core motif — nor does it need to.

"Missed Call" follows with crystalline textures a la early Robert Hood, with a long section devoted entirely to the track's hollow, rattling percussion. In his rendition, Bekkler reinterprets a small sliver of the source material's experimental chord progression to instil an air of urgency sure to trigger a shift in energy on any dance floor.

Rounding out the original singles appearing on the tracklist of the EP is "Frisson." While markedly more melodic than the music preceding it, its arrangement meanders in a way that might sound random to the untrained ear. JAK expanded upon this complex emotional palette in his remix, spinning it into the lore of an exhilarating story.

Although more than three decades have passed since the advent of the Internet, mankind continues to grapple with its impacts on nearly every aspect of our day-to-day lives. Much in the same way, Marteka Fair's Life After Internet EP proves that there is uncharted territory left to explore in techno. After all this time, we've only scratched the surface.

Florian Meindl is a multi-talented and multi-faceted artist, who is renowned for his technical
prowess.
Producing for over fourteen years, Florian has become known for his deep, grooving powerful
techno. His productions are characterised by his love of analog, which represent his true signature
sound.
2006 saw the inception of Florian’s label FLASH Recordings. The label showcases Florian’s musical
vision, reflects his taste and gives him tracks for his DJ Mixes. A platform for artists that Florian
likes, FLASH has had over 130 releases already including tracks from Heron, Electric Rescue, Jamie
Anderson, Alignment, Hans Bouffmyhre & Avgusto.
In May 2015 Florian released his second solo album ‘Collide’ to critical acclaim. The album was
clearly influenced by Florian’s transition from producing almost entirely digitally for thirteen years
to recording mainly analog jamming sessions and editing the end results after on the computer. The
technical aspect is integral to Florian’s musical journey that he takes the listener on. His talent lies
in enabling the machines to speak and groove, to connect with them and create sounds and
patterns.
In addition to solo releases and numerous collaborations with international artists, and remixing the
likes of Hot Chip & Royksopp, Florian is busy with his sound design brand Riemann Kollektion and
Riemann Modular which is his new studio gear company specializing in Eurorack Modules.
As a DJ, live performer, studio producer and sound designer, Florian has over the years established
an impressive producing base for himself in his Berlin based Riverside Studio complex with an
exciting hardware set up including Modular Systems, an analog mixing desk as well as classic
machines like Roland 909.
After fourteen years of international performances and production, Florian has developed a special
connection with his analog equipment, letting them speak for him in music where words just aren’t
possible. His third album will be released in February 2017 in combination with a worldwide full
analog live act tour.
