For this, I extended my ideas around Disquiet Juntos 0605, 0606, 0609 & 0530, centered around  “minimally viable music.” I worked various techniques to shadow my foundation audio - including duplicating and delaying - as well as decaying, stretching and minimizing strategies using gates, crushers & audio warping.

Process notes - 

For the foundation audio here, I used a recording I made of a cheap acoustic guitar to cassette tape on 14 Feb 1988 and transferred to another tape on 30 Aug 1995. I transferred to digital in Nov 2019.

Tools used - Ableton Live 11 Suite, Ableton Live native devices and a handful of Max for Live devices, along with iZotope Ozone 9 and K-Devices Shaper.

"I am never anywhere, anywhere I go" is a piece for spatialized trio and sound object. Clarinet, piccolo and cello are disposed at the vertices of a triangle, in the center of which a special instrument is placed: a barrel that acts as a resonator to a metal grid, which the musicians gradually approach to play through bows and cans.
The spectral and timbral properties of this 'new instrument,' as well as the visual and gestural implications it brings to the performance, are the object of research in this work. The attempt at an organic homogeneity of sound, despite the different sources from which it comes, together with the extremely resonant acoustic environment of the foyer help to accentuate the concept that gives the piece its title: "wherever I go, I am nowhere."

Floriana Provenzano (b.1998) is an Italian composer and pianist. 
She initially approached music through the study of the classical piano, graduating from the Bachelor and the Master of Music degrees with honors and honorable mentions.

In the meantime, she began studying Composition under the guidance of R. Panfili, continuing at the Mantua Conservatory with Z. Baldi and M. Azzan. Floriana has furthered her study of composition by participating as an active member in numerous masterclasses with well-known composers, including. C. Iannotta, P. Billone, G. Bertelli, M. Lanza, L. Streich and J. Janulyté, among others.

Latest performances of her works include Mantova Musica del XXI Secolo, Rondò in Monferrato of Divertimento Ensemble and Conservatory of Monopoli (BA), collaborating with the Ensemble L’Arsenale, mdi Ensemble and Maria Grazia Bellocchio. Among the latest projects, she is currently working on a duo for viola and voice with Giulia Zaniboni and Paolo Fumagalli to be premiered at Trieste Prima Festival and other venues. She was also selected to participate with a new work in the Mixtur Festival in Barcelona in October 2024.
