PROTONICA - HORIZON EP
From the clouds of darkness bursts of colours start to appear: purple, orange and some pink. These rays of light tickle your eyes and open a new view, a new Horizon. It is only then that you start to hear the beat, those pounding sounds that make your heart race. Now you know, it is time to follow the beat.

Guiding your way to the Horizon are Protonica, aka Piet Kaempfer and Ralf Dietze from Berlin, Germany. After two successful albums – Search (2007) and Form Follows Function (2012), Protonica have been placed high in the psychedelic galaxy. In this journey they take you once more to an unknown Horizon, although the destination is unknown, pleasure is guaranteed.

The dark mist has faded away with the waves of multiple colours that were sent from the Horizon. It is bright and shiny just like Greece and brings with it the same sense of mythology and magical surrounding that are known to be associated with Atmos, aka Tomasz Balicki.

Magnus's tracks been played on A State of Trance, Future Sound of Egypt, Rush Hour, Global Trance Grooves, and many more. In 2009, Magnus won the Sean Tyas Melbourne remix competition with his Michael Lee remix. In 2011, his first album Signal Strength was released on JOOF. That same year, Magnus began working with Perfecto, releasing a Magnus Dub remix of I'm Alive by Paul Oakenfold and Infected Mushroom, as well as his original track, Velvet. More recently, Magnus has begun working on collabs with Activa, Thomas Datt, John Dopping, Shake, and Sinerider. His EP entitled Render One was released in May of 2014 on Perfecto Fluoro.

The National are a Brooklyn-based five-piece hailing from Ohio. The group contains two pairs of brothers -- Bryce Dessner (guitars), Aaron Dessner (bass, guitars), Scott Devendorf (bass, guitars), and Bryan Devendorf (drums) -- and features Matt Berninger on vocals. The National's music has drawn comparisons to Interpol, the Smiths, Tindersticks, and Tom Waits -- the latter due to Berninger's shattered, beautiful earthquake of a voice, which recalls the holy trinity of Cave, Cash and Cohen. However, though concerned with the forensics of heartbreak specifically and the human condition generally, the band are no mere copycats.
