Our next mix was created by our Danish buddy Lars aka Disfunctional Disco. After taking a break from podcasts for more than two and a half years, we are all the more pleased that his comeback will be published by us.

His mix is a colorful piñata of different musical styles and shows in which directions our favorite genre can move. We are happy that Lars is part of our little series and wish you a lot of fun with the following 90 minutes.

✪My music journey started when: When I moved to Miami in 2006, and started attending different parties and festivals. I always loved music but this time I was feeling more connected to it. 
✪A set I really like: It’s so hard to pick one set, but I am a huge fan of Afterhour Sounds sets, Arkadiusz does an incredible job curating it. 
✪First thing I do when I come home: I give hugs & kisses to Eve and Billy (our little doggie)

✪My life as a film title: I think “ Rocky “ is the closest movie to  my actual life. It’s been a long and very difficult journey to be where I am right now, and internally I feel that there is still a long way to go…

Its still hard to believe what happened there on the Isla bonita in Poland!
What an incredibly beautiful festival!
The timing, the Vienna Stage, the weather and crowd: just perfect!

We took over after Pulli & Chomba and used the last ray of day for some sundowner funky style. Slowly progressing towards the night the beat became a little more strict and dirty ! 

Thank you all for making this Set a magical one!
We loved every second!

✔️ Was sind deine musikalischen Einflüsse? Was ist dein musikalischer Hintergrund?

Ab meiner Kindheit lernte ich bis in die Jugend Klavier, Gitarre und Gesang - dazu kamen später noch Chor und einzelne Konzerte mit Bands. Als Teenie schlug mein Interesse von vorrangig indie und alternative dann sehr stark auf elektronische Musik um; Berlin war dabei definitiv sehr prägend und ist es bis heute.

✔️ Was macht deiner Meinung nach eine gute Afterhour aus?

Wenn man einfach nicht schlafen gehen mag und das Gefühl für Raum und Zeit komplett verliert..

✔️Welche Gedanken magst du uns zu deinem Mix mit auf den Weg geben?

Lasst euch am Anfang schön treiben, grooved euch ein, aber keine Garantie, dass ihr dabei still sitzen bleibt :)
