Kawahigashi Hekigoto (1873-1937) was an important advocate of the free verse haiku. His haiku inspired this improvisation, played on two instances of LABS VST synth. Recorded and mixed in Reaper. Mastered with CloudBounce.

Agenouillées de force par l’infiniment lourd
Où s’avalanchent en masse les fracas des mots creux des puissances cyniques 
Où s’étranglent en chuintant les cris asphyxiés des peuples
Sous des tonnes de plomb
Elles incantent, sans dire
Plongent et cherchent la force, et la légèreté
L’inspiration, l’envol

Paupières baissées, arcs de lune, elles implorent

Il faut
Réinventer l’issue
Avant l’écrasement
La chute
Résister à ce tourbillon
À la source d'acier qui vrille
Chasser la peur
Puiser profond au désir primitif

Sous l’ombre de leurs fronts
Derrière leurs yeux d’amande
Bouches livides scellées
Maudissent la déraison mortelle grimée d’or et d’argent
Hurlent en silence blême les corps déchiquetés

Under the shadow of their brows
Behind their almond eyes
Livid mouths sealed
They curse mortal unreason painted in gold and silver
Scream in pale silence the shredded bodies
The ardor murdered, and all the innocents sacrificed useless
Invoke its reverse with the madness that saves, vivifies and revives
Burning and freezing
Like the salty pearls that cling to their eyelashes

My music is freely improvised, usually on VST synthesizers, sometimes fretless bass, guitar, occasionally electric viola or cello, with a variety of effects pedals. Solo music is performed live and recorded as 'FlownBlue'.  I am also in four improvising duos: 'Windfall Light' (with Jim Tetlow), 'Abstract Blue' (with Kevin Buckland), 'Light Fragments' (with Steve Escott), and Szukanie (with Michał Wojciechowski).
