Dastan translates to story. As a journeyman of dance music, and a fan of the longer form experience, he’s been obsessed with quality sound and the state of being lost in music. Dastan has been a resident DJ in Washington, D.C. for the last six years, championing residencies in seminal nightclubs Flash & Eighteenth Street Lounge, as well as in the underground and festival circuit. In 2020, he found a family playing consistently with Nick Warren’s imprint, The Soundgarden, on their showcase streams. Over the years he’s been the Global Journey DJ for Tomorrowland festival in Belgium, as well as finding himself playing globally, from in Europe,North America and South America, as well as in remote locations and festivals where he’s been
summoned. 

Dastan has been called upon to support alongside some of his own heroes, including Audiofly, Nick Warren, Behrouz, Holmar, Enamour, Jake the Rapper, Dee Montero,Nox Vahn, Lunar Plane, & Dusky. Always finding himself on the darker side of deep house/techno his sets dance to a strong middle eastern and tribal flair.

Deejaying for over 27 years, this charismatic and talented French DJ and producer still lives and enjoys music with the same passion and energy as when he started. That is probably the reason why
he is today one of the Barcelona DJs with the greatest international projection.

@florian-gasp is undoubtedly a benchmark in the electronic scene in Barcelona, where he regularly plays in the most fashionable clubs in the city, such as Pacha Barcelona, CDLC-Carpe Diem, Solo, Hotel Me, W Hotel, City Hall, Sutton, Oshum or Club Catwalk.

His music is also in high demand for the most fashionable events and parties in the city. In 2006, Playboy chose him to be Hugh Huffner's official 80th anniversary DJ. And today, very often, he plays for the opening events of fashion stores: Guess, Swarovski, Berska, Jacques Dessange ...

As the main resident DJ of the famous Barcelona Essentials events (parties that present “the best of Barcelona in one night”) he has been playing for the last two years in the best clubs in the main

Hello Everyone and welcome once more to our exclusive podcast. Every week we deliver a one off DJ set from a plethora of talented electronic music artists, from around planet progressive, direct to your ears. 

Delighted to welcome todays guest DJ, and having been introduced online during the pandemic, connecting through the music and its scene and helping in some small but notable part of bringing people together in hard times. Watching his rise up through the ranks in recent years is great to see, my pleasure to introduce Ranj Kaler!

Ranj Kaler’s rise has been nothing short than meteoric. After losing his long standing DJ residency at the start of the pandemic, he used that time stuck in lockdown, to try his hand at music production. Six very short months later he was releasing music for the likes of ARRVL and Four Candles  Keep Thinking label but it was his reworks of Sade and Kate Bush that really grabbed people’s attention. 

Since then he has had a string of releases on labels such as Stripped Recordings, Configurations Of Self, Dissident, Capital Heaven and Foxtrot Alpha. 

Not one to conform to a particular genre, Ranj’s productions meld house, breaks, techno and electro which results in his own sound that has gained his music support and plays from an endless list of DJ’s including the likes of John Digweed, Nick Warren, Hernán Cattaneo and Alex Neri. 

His stuff has made him also a prolific remixer with the likes of  Hooj Choons, Pangea and Laika Sounds, to name but a few , using his skills. To that end, Ranj is currently sitting at number one in Beatstats Electronica Hype artists. Ranj also hosts The Midweek Recovery every week on London Music Radio, and has laid down epic mixes for top platforms like Balance ... and this one, enjoy! :)
