It was an honour for me to play on Saturday at the Spirit Space - and give all the mystical creatures a cozy soft shelter to ground, recharge, and connect with others at night. So beautiful to watch the space fill up during those two hours and become a wobbling interconnected so(ul)rganism with lots of contact dance. I truly felt naked while playing this set, because I poured my whole heart out there and showed so much of my inner being... Slightly scary, but always worth it. 
Hope you enjoy the 80 bpm smooth sailing.

It was the last morning of the 2016 Burn and there was a small, but beautiful crowd of dedicated burners gathered, as most had already continued back to the outside world. We were feeling very spent, tired, dusty and freezing, but powered through the transition from night until dawn and once the sun broke through, it brought warmth to our bones and it turned into very special morning indeed...

For those of you who don't know what "Mumpitz" means.. 
It was a scare shape from the 17th century. Spookily. Mumpitz (meaning “balderdash” or “shenanigans”) traces its origins to the German Boogey Man!
Well, kind of. The word actually derives onomatopoeically from two different German words: vermummen, meaning to disguise, and Butzemann, German for “boogey man.” So vermummen became the “mum” and the “butz” in “Butzemann” slowly evolved to become “pitz.” Thus, mumpitz. 
The Reason we chose "Mumpitz" for Leving's podcast, is the dark mood in his sets. But Leving himself is known as a really nice and lovely guy and thats the mixture what makes his performance very special and unique. 
So enjoy it and have fun!

"I prepared the playlist for this mix for some time and put it finally in form on a remote beach in a Thailand National Park. I liked to create something chilled & uplifting; sending out sunny & a bit tripped out vibes catching the groove.. 3 QUESTIONS to SHADOW CHILD:

Q: Thanks a lot for your great storyteller. What do these tracks still mean to you today?

A: You’re welcome. These tracks in the mixtape are my roots. There’s loads more too but these records really helped to guide me to where I am at this moment. They take me back to my youth obviously, but each one is a special cog in 'my wheel'.

Q: You've been busy recently with the new Apollo release series on Electronic Elements. Tell us more about please!

A: Sure - I found myself experimenting with sounds that were new to me, although not to others. I love channeling the past into my music, and decided to see this as a project where I could play with the vibe from the mid-90’s melodic techno sound. Pre-Trance as we know it today. It’s funny as it’s miles from what I started out with as Shadow Child, but I’ve loved every second of this project so far and we’re only half way through.

Q: When looking into the future, what can we expect from you and how do you see the development of electronic music after Corona?

A: I’m a studio guy number 1, but I still love doing too, and I miss it massively. I don’t know if we’ll have a future in this industry like we had though, so I’m fortunate that making music is my number 1 thing. I have several projects on the go alongside Shadow Child. Polymod is another that is exciting too. I’ll always be making music, whether it propels me into a space where I'm a busy touring DJ or not. I think the future for electronic music can be exciting, although at the moment it’s sad and scary for a lot of businesses in the industry, some of which are already lost. I believe creatively, it will be an exciting time ahead though.

Boah is das heiss! Bei dem Wetterchen dreht‘s einem doch glatt die Lockenwickler wieder aus der Frise.
Da hilft nur eins, ab zu Harry‘s Eisbude und nen kaltes Gelato holen. Lecker Schmecker geht‘s dann ab unter die schattigen Bäume, und zwar mit der Hängematte.

Zum Glück haben wir da genau das richtige um erst gar nicht ins schwitzen zu kommen. 
Mit schön reduzierter Drehzahl vom Ventilator weht uns eine feine Brise Gelassenheit entgegen. Ein kurzer Blick rüber zum Ventilator und siehe da, gekonnt lässig reguliert @spak heute heimlich die drei Geschwindigkeitsstufen der Propellerumdrehungen.

Sali zäme! We’re pleased to announce a phenomenal storyteller from Switzerlands nightlife capital to the Schirmchendrink counter: Temo Sayin shows off his tremendous skills with this tasty Jungle Bird! 

Temo Sayin, head of the Zurich underground movement «Die Empathie», shows, that music doesn't need to be hectic and cluttered to bring people into ecstasy. His deep, open minded organic sounds take you on an unique journey: Melancholic but not sad, sensitive but not cheesy, powerful but not crazy. Sentimental enough to close the eyes and still uplifting to raise the arms.

The Turkish-Dutch started started his DJ career with illegal events in his hometown Zurich, where he quickly gained a recognition for his sensual sets. It was only a matter of time he was invited to play at the most popular clubs across the city. Today, and if you happen to go out in Zurich, it'll be hard not to cross paths with Temo. He has made quite a name for himself and shares the stage with well known artists as Satori, Rampue, Miyagi and many others.

We pictured the mix as a trip through the night. Leaving your house, you follow a faint beat in the dark til you arrive at the pulsing heart of a 
rave and lose yourself in the sound all night. The rush of the music carries you into the morning hours until the sun comes up. With the first light, the sound also changes. With some newly found friends, you wander to a nearby park and lay in the grass. You hear your own breathing, distant laughter and leaves whisper in the wind.
