We’ve anticipated mixing this set for Flow Sessions for quite some time. Week after week great music is released and too often many of these beautiful tunes get lost in our archives, especially those released in 2020. For this set we dug out some of our favourite tracks from the past 19 months to reflect a journey that sets off bright with the sun and ends up dark under the moon.

Today we want to present you our sixteenth Mystic Cast. This time no one else than the legendary https://soundcloud.com/deepandi recorded a set for us.

Deep Ändi is an integral part of the Easy Tiger crew from Jena. He has a special talent to produce unique and driving downtempo beats. When we stumbled upon his first live-set that was released in 2019, we were absolutely stoked and listened to it over and over again. It makes us especially happy to release this Mystic Cast with him and we are looking forward to join forces more frequently in the future.

Take a journey into the sonic realm of this unforgettable night at @hive-zurich. I had the pleasure to play at Tanzstube from 3-5. For my set I drew inspiration from different genres: the soulful groove of deep and afro house, the emotive melodies of melodic techno to the relentless energy of techno and tech house. Thanks RK KULT for having me and to everyone that joined this musical journey on that autumnal Friday night. I’m very happy to share this experience with all of you.

🗯🗯 How Did Corona change your artist life? 🗯🗯

From going to the airport and being in a different city every weekend to spending too much time at home:) I could get some rest after years and years of endless traveling (I had another crazy traveling job before Djing so I never spent this much time at home in my entire life) and build some healthy routines but also it has been very difficult to keep the motivation at times. 

In my case I could spend a lot of time in my studio and catch up on some knowledge as a fresh producer. I released my first EP and some remixes and colabs on compilations. 

Also I’ve been doing a lot of live streams since almost a year now. I started playing music online from my living room in March and played almost every week on different platforms for different labels and communities until Turkey’s lockdown eased down a bit in June. I kept on playing less frequently through the summer while I could play small socially distanced gigs in Turkey - unfortunately I could not travel to Europe even though I had some requests for small parties. When the second wave hit the world I started my weekly residency on Twitch for Abracadabra TV. Live streaming every Sunday for 2 hours, different music every week is very challenging but also very rewarding. I love live streams and I owe them my sanity and my motivation to keep going as an artist. I reach a lot of people and we even have our insider jokes :) 

🗯🗯 Where did you record the mix and how did you feel? 🗯🗯


I recorded it at home on my couch next to the window with headphones and traktor controller. It was cosy :) 


🗯🗯 What are your wishes for the time after Corona? 🗯🗯

Can not wait to give hugs to people without thinking about it and seeing the smile on strangers faces. I missed touring and being with people and sharing music with people in the same space, not reading but actually seeing their reactions to my music. I hope those days are close! I miss festivals and clubs and being carefree!
