Gina Sabatini is one of the best known for her hypnotic downbeat and slow-house sets. Coming from a diverse music background, her passion has always been the dancefloor. As a passionate dancer before she started DJing in Berlin, Gina immersed herself in growing a loyal wide audience and keeping listeners on many sweet places engaged with her aesthetic of the slower side of underground dance music. Gina tells melodic, deep stories and her devotion to the music speaks through her captivating and powerful sets, but it's all about the groove, when she’s dropping some low-tempo-deep-house-joints. After 10 years in Germany's capital, Gina moved to her new adopted city Leipzig to start a club project with two of her best friends - ost:end is the lived utopia of many different cultural workers, curators, producers and DJs.

I played this set at our first ost:end open air on a warm summer night in June 2021 in Leipzig. After three hard lockdowns, finally we could do what we love again - create parties in sound and vision. For me it was the first time playing in front of an audience for months and I could finally share the music I love with other people on a great sound system. That was such a big experience for me. For this gig I wanted to mix tracks that got me through these crazy times and remind me of my musical roots - bouncy house music.

Last few times I tried to record a set, always something went wrong, either i never received the recording or the quality wasn't good etc... but this time I have a nice one! yuhuu!

Here's the recording of my 2.5 hours sunset session at Wolvenroedel Presents Zongeluk in Zandvoort, Holland; featuring some of my favorite tracks lately.

I created this set for my monthly guest DJ appearance on Holotropic Happy Hour in January 2022, a former weekly A/V show I co-produced on Bluetech's Twitch channel. 

Just as I was preparing to host the broadcast, I learned of the passing of a dear friend, Matthew Parkey, gone too soon. The emotion of the music took on a different tone for me as I listened during the broadcast, tears falling, recalling our sweet friendship, and regarding the HUGE impact Matt had on the entire SoCal underground desert gathering community. His capacity for love and light touched so many souls. And so I heartily dedicate this mix to him - I will always love you, Matt.

"8645km" was the first original song I wrote. In 2019 I almost finished an update to it but I lost the project file before I could finish it. This is the result of me trying to finally finish my revisit to this - these now nostalgic feelings attached to this song. As I was revisiting it I found myself pulling from more current things in my life so I decided to update the title.

This is straight from my heart. I hope you enjoy it and thanks for listening.

Space Jams 107: Horizons (Melodic Trance/ Progressive House) 🇮🇹

This mix features some of my favourite tracks from the past 12-18 months. It's composed of 55 tracks in total for this 3-3-22 special edition! This results in a short mixing time for each track and a quite energetic and varied session. The ballad unfolds in waves of different atmospheres and emotions across all kinds of genres and selecta. 

If I had to specify I would say the first 1h20 is a nice buildup ending with a pop Italian song then we get on a Rambo mission through trippy and indie dance for about another 1h then some Bambi house and groove for 40mn ending on a deliciously cinematic Cerrone song, and then the set closes with another 40m of deep and melodic vibes

How many of us look at the time and it is always 22:22 or 11:11 and so on? For some people, it doesn’t mean anything and they call it a simple coincidence, but for others like me, or other ‘Flow-ers' it means that you are at the right place, merging with the flow of life or that someone is thinking of you! I locked myself up for this 3:33:33.33.33 sets (yes it’s all about details)standing in front of my CDs, and CDJs, and started recording this set. It all started with a joint and ended up in a disco-ish party passing through some weird, joyful and acid-ish flows. This set is a good representation of what I love to play depending on the gigs. A wide range of carefully selected music and a lot of upcoming tracks, collabs, edits and remixes produced over these last two crazy years! For my upcoming Australian debut, this 03:hr:33min long audio journey gave me the opportunity to play with energetic dancefloor music, progressive elements, melodic vocal tracks, and leftfield indie vibes, and of course a few tracks accompanied with electric violin to describe the musical story. Playing such an extended set, I felt like hiding some unreleased music in between this never-ending romance with sound - so enjoy it with a good pair of speakers and casual sense of humour! If you were to ask, DADADISCO wouldn't name a single specific source of their inspiration. These two French gourmands take in and digest pretty much everything, from hard rock and heavy metal to synthetics and ambience... That means you can expect anything from Denis and Guillaume but cliché. Design, art, cinema and fashion are just as important to them as music. And it all comes through in their sets. These gents are very much the products of the "promiscuous and omnivorous" disco mayhem, forever imprinted in the collective memory of club culture as Bar25. It was through this jolly demonic mill, fumes and flames, thick and thin, that this combo blazed their way onto Berlin's raucous music scene. Veritable performers, their epic endless sets were somewhat of a cross between music and circus. When it closed for good, DADADISCO went global, spreading their retro-futuristic sound along with their overtly surrealist attitude. "Dada" in their name refers, of course, to a movement that in the mid-20th century famously repudiated and mocked all sorts of artistic conventions while emphasizing the illogical and absurd. DADADISCO keeps experimenting with genres and influences to discover and deliver their own unique blend of sexy electronica, always favouring spontaneity over etiquette. The name sticks on all of these counts.

At 3hrs 33min though, the situation is different. We rummaged deep in the record crate, full of enthusiasm knowing exactly what was being played. Dissatisfied with the result and a musical existential crisis not far away, we reflected and rethought the essence of our music: who are we and what do we want anyway? With detective acumen, we conducted acquisitions for weeks and dove into old and new realms in search of the undefinable. Back to the roots...

It's done. One of the most powerful mixes we've had the pleasure to record so far is in the can. 

We are proud to present our Flow Mix, which is a cross section of our last three years of downtempo with a pinch of reminiscence. On board are many of our own productions, which we are finally proud to show the world in one big mix. 
Much of the style of Dj mixes we represent today may not be immediately recognisable in it. But we still keep familiar principles, because the essence is always the same: the emotion, the smirk and of course grooves for days!
The journey starts quietly and with deep sound and gains momentum as it goes on. 
It ends as it begins: with guitars. The full circle.

Thanks Flow Music for the invitation to participate in one of our most favourite Podcast Series. We always enjoy this series of so much and feel really honored to be part of this. In the beginning of the year we were working on some new tracks and integrated two of them into the mix: they will be released this year on Down and on Kamai music.
