august wears the heaviest of the year like layers of sweat sitting upon the corners of my mouth. unforgiving, shadows dance in the waning sun.
the day gets shorter, the bugs sing louder.
weeks without rain, weeks until rain.
you let the sadness in through the back door, and this time offer it tea and a place to sit. it doesn't stay long.
march's gentle light illuminated that room and august's sees it out. this year i will be better equipped to handle seasons changing and sunlight dancing, the glow that spring formed has wavered but that room never went dark.

Started this song in Seattle a few years back with my friend Jeff Montalvo who helped write the lead melody. Continued to work on this song in Costa Rica at Selva Armonia and in Hawaii at Audio Alchemy where I converted it to 432hz.
