Heith’s devout interest in the notion of reality started long before he recorded his latest album. The Italian musician, producer and artist probed the spiritual aspects of sound and its cosmogonic potential already in his previous works released on his own Haunter Records label.
Exploring the textures of consciousness through research into the ritual animism, he kept an omnivorous and universalist approach to cultural and sonic influence. This is central to X, wheel, Heith’s debut album and first release on PAN. It’s a deep dive into his creative and spiritual practice, one where art and life are inextricable.

Written and recorded across different studios in Milan, Rome and Florence between March, 2019, and January, 2020, eleven tracks cycle through a world of stylistic references—from psychedelia, psytrance and freak folk to stoner metal, noise and early electronic music—while remaining firmly a part of a singular vision.

Album opener “Letter 4” staggers along collaborator Leonardo Rubboli’s winding guitar melody, while second track “Dero” cycles into layers of assorted sine wave lines and tonal systems outside of the Western diatonic scales. X, wheel sits calmly at the centre of its own vortex of dissonance and diversity, moving through a spectrum of ideas, moods, and emotional states with uncanny ease. A glimpse of contributor Jesse Osborne- Lanthier’s synth melody briefly surfaces from a cacophonous flood of reverb and distortion on “Stoned Witch”. Aase Nielsen’s lonely saxophone wanders around the nostalgic hypnagogic noir of “Ensemble For Somnambulists”.

Heith draws together an array of philosophies and fictions together into a sonic tableau that exists outside of linear time. As the titular wheel spins, it does not bring about repetition, rather constant change and movement, spiralling into infinity.

The hypnotic nature of the release is translated in the album’s liner notes. It’s a collage of sorts, constructed from Heith’s own diary entries using the non-phonetic alphabet and linguistic experiment called “Angel’s Hair” developed with artist Pietro Agostoni. Together with contributions from ZU drummer Jacopo Battaglia and didgeridoo player Fabio Goldaniga, X, wheel is an exercise in creating new forms of meaning through sound, turning spectral vibration into conscious awareness.

Cabizbajo, the moniker of Roberto Escobosa, emerges with his highly anticipated album "Loved Alone," set to release under Roam Recordings. Hailing from Mexico, Cabizbajo’s musical journey traces back to his teenage years, where he honed his skills as a guitarist and drummer for various rock bands. Now a prominent DJ and producer based in Guadalajara, Cabizbajo is recognized for his eclectic blend of electronic dance music, with a particular focus on dark disco and indie dance vibes. 
"Loved Alone" represents a culmination of Cabizbajo's musical evolution, offering listeners a diverse array of sounds and textures. Spanning across various styles of electronic dance music, the album seamlessly weaves together elements of dark disco, indie dance, and dreamy atmospheres. Each track is a sonic voyage, carefully crafted to evoke emotions and ignite the imagination. From pulsating rhythms to ethereal melodies, "Loved Alone" captures the essence of Cabizbajo's artistic vision, inviting listeners to immerse themselves in a world of sonic exploration

Exclusive Between Ourselves 'Red Mist (Ruede Hagelstein's Boost Cut)'

After André Lodemann's highly appreciated album 'The Deeper You Go' it's Irish duo Between Ourselves that follow the label-head's steps and see Davin Coady and Geoff Foley release their 'Red Mist EP' on Best Works. The four tracker, consisting of two originals, André's edit of the title track as well as Ruede Hagelstein's take on 'Red Mist', depicts the sheer potential and sound sophistication of the Waterford-boys Davin and Geoff. Watergate-resident Ruede Hagelstein's approach to 'Red Mist', which he simply called Boost Cut, does just what the working title suggests: it strips down the elements, emphasizes the carefully-chosen ones and adds a crucial darker tone and atmosphere to the track. Kind of like boosting the mental component while reducing the original's melodic elements to an essential minimum in the beginning and middle-part before allowing them to become the carrying soundscapes in the course and flow into a spheric peak that contains elegancy and rawness.

Between Ourselves's EP 'Red Mist' will be released November 9th, 2018 on Best Works Records.

An African nomad, Floyd Lavine mines inspiration wherever he goes. From the
vibrant musical scene of his homeland, drawing influence from local South
African Djs like Oskido, Vinny Da Vinci , to the heady East London party scene
during a six-year stint in the UK capital.
Moving to Berlin in 2016, he soaked up the vibes of the cityʼs world-leading
house and techno scene, but always went his own way establishing RISE, an
Afro House collective that staged monthly events at Watergate and across
Europe.
Floydʼs sound is the sum of his parts; cross-genre, with broad appeal; heʼs
played everywhere from CTM Festival, Panorama Bar and Black Coffeeʼs Ibiza
residency.

In 2021 sees Floyd launch his new imprint Afrikan Tales focusing on pushing
fresh new Afro future sounds
