Inspired by «Strong Tea or Father» by Shao Qian, this song is written from the voice of a daughter learning to forgive herself for the distance and anger she carried during her father’ s final days. It’s not about perfect closure, but about finding a way to put the past behind. Forgiveness isn’t always clean—it’s slow, uneven, but real—the way a father would.

a child’s never forgets her first bruises
I kept the silence tight-lipped
blaming myself
for time that slipped away
