Swedish Disco duo Drop Out Orchestra join forces with Mishell Ivon to deliver an uplifting Gospel Disco House groover, ‘He’s Always There’. Loaded with a message of hope and love, Mishell delivers a heartfelt soulful vocal set to a funky live feel groove, adorned with a groovy bass and catchy harmonica hooks. Also on the package, UK House legends K-Klass bring a taste of the 90’s, ramping up the energy with an upbeat piano house make-over, and Dafia boss Mannix adds his signature elegant Disco touch, rounding off another feel-good release for his label, having recently scored a Traxsource No.1 with his ‘No No No’ single.

Sweden’s Drop Out Orchestra take their cues from original Disco pioneers such as MFSB and DFA, launching themselves in 2008 with an array of bootlegs, re-edits and covers that glittered across the dance floors, toying with tracks by everyone from TLC and Daft Punk to Rick Astley and The Sex Pistols, transforming them into luxurious, soulful Disco affairs. As a result, they found themselves remixing the likes of Black Strobe, Flight Facilities and Paul Weller, among others. Their original tracks, including collaborations with Ronika and LCD Soundsytem’s Nancy Whang have graced labels such as Eskimo Recordings and Gomma. The duo bring live elements back into dance music, blurring the divide between live and DJ performances by incorporating live bass and electronics, which has seen them play alongside everyone from Fatboy Slim to Gilles Peterson.

Singer / Songwriter Mishell Ivon signed her first artist contract with Production duo Irmgard Klarmann and Felix Weber, who also had works with artists such as Chaka Khan, Expose and Toni Braxton at the age of 14. With this team Mishell had releases on Dome Records and several releases on labels in Japan. Since then, Mishell Ivon has been an international singer in various bands, touring shows, as well as for film, TV and radio. She feels at home in Funk, Modern funk, Disco, Nu-disco, Soulful House and many other genres, which is why many say her strength is vocal and writing versatility.

‘He’s Always There’ (incl K-Klass & Mannix Mixes) will be released on Traxsource promo October 28th / Full release November 4th 2022 on Dafia Records.

‘Ghost of Arms’, the dark synth-pop jewel from @cursesforever & @terr_music is about to get the remix treatment thanks to an exciting line up!

Italian born, Florence-based @matisaxx is injecting a more than efficient trancy and bumping prog house energy into the original, while staying true to its emotional side. A glorious version tailored made for euphoric hands-in-the-air, get-lost-in-the-moment scenes in the clubs.

Paris-born composer, orchestrator and Musique Concretist @wladimirschall delivers a beautiful and fascinating stripped-down interpretation.
Built around an infectious hazy melody and ethereal guitar chords, in that melancholic setting, Terr's reflections on lost love resonates even deeper.

South Korean producer and dj @shubostar speeds up the pace a bit with her synth-driven, Italo inspired remix. Now draped in her signature cosmic sound, Terr vocals are more moving than ever, Curses soothing guitar action are floating all around, all of it invoking the bitter-sweet melancholy of a reflective night ride.

The gorgeous 11-track selection features countrymen like Mule (Arg), NODO and Lisandro (AR). The latter label owner thus provides not one but two original mixes. Alongside a collab with fellow roster artist OHMZ, the solo version of “Shining” radiates pure piano melodies among lush atmos and smooth percussion.
