Weimar based DJ @paul-weck is checking into our podcast roster with a varied techno selection, blent to a deep and captivating trip. The @microwavelive resident and co-founder of @x-hoch-zwei-x & Niemandsland (not to be mixed up with the Aachen based collective) got us hooked with some stripped down tunes in the beginning and cozily grooving to some heartwarming pads as this vinyl only mix comes to a close.

VINYL DJ BASED IN WEIMAR, WHO IS PRESENTING US A REALLY CLASSICAL TECHNO SET WHICH IS INSPIRED BY THE 2000´s OSTGUT TON SOUND

"I gained access to electronic music as a child through my family, with my father as a DJ and my mother as a passionate Berghain visitor.
After I moved from Brandenburg to Weimar for my studies, my sound developed more diverse and increasingly genre-fluid.
The set published here, however, is a pure techno set, in which I have carful put together a comprehensive selection, which should take the listener by the hand from the beginning. My ambition is to hypnotize with rhythmic, minimalistic and driving atmospheric techno and to completely take over the senses. Hoping that it invites you to dive in and close your eyes.

"I'm Maxim, 21 years old, born in Kassel but  lived and moved around in Stuttgart for a few years now.
I mainly take analogue photos on film and Polaroid. 
My work deals with, intimacy, memories, nostalgia, being queer and being a young person in this time and age. 
Quite often, however, it's not a direct exploration of themes that I choose, but simply photographing my friends, short acquaintances, lovers, family and my surroundings. A kind of visual diary for me and my personal environment. 

DISCLAIMER: The German proverb "Am Arsch der Welt" translates to "At the ass end of the world" in English. It means that someone is in a very remote or insignificant location that is far away from everything. It is often used to express that someone is in a place that is very far away or difficult to reach.

The image shown is part of the "(am) Arsch der Welt" series, in which I create Polaroids in unidentifiable places that are previously foreign to me. In this case, the hometown of my friend. Whenever I visited him "am Arsch der Welt", we explored the area and I photographed his ass. With every photo, the foreign place, the ass of the world, dies more and more for me. But there is always a new, undiscovered ass of the world. So it's a never-ending journey :) "

The fashion party is (almost) over. The penultimate chapter of Social Distancing is a dim exploration of EBM, techno and electro. At times fast and intrusive, on others poetic and contemplating, all five tracks share a liking for the dark side of the dance floor.

C12 is a multidisciplinary nightclub and platform run by the Deep in House collective, located in the heart of Brussels. It's a safe place where freedom, diversity, creativity and alternative culture are protected from the restrictive and normative outside world. The project was launched in February 2018 and includes concerts, art installations, lives, club nights and exhibitions.

The Corona crisis is keeping our doors closed and dancefloor empty for several weeks now, with no hopes yet on new line-ups and crowds of enthusiastic dancers. But this unprecedented situation isn’t holding us still. Continuing to support our local Brussels and Belgian electronic music scene, C12 is proud to announce its own label with 10 music compilations dubbed Social Distancing. All artists involved are Belgian or strongly connected to the Brussels scene. Confirmed are Le Motel, Stellar OM Source, A.Brehme, Front De Cadeaux, Davy, OCB Casa Voyager, Cabasa, Techno Thriller, Orphan Swords, Different Fountains, Bear Bones Lay Low, Gols, Hadone, ... and our residents Session 4000, Kafim & Chris Ferreira. Compilations will also be curated by female artists promoting platform ‘Psst Mlle’ and queer culture collective ‘Benediction’.

Each edition consists of a collection of several tracks and will be released every two weeks, leading to a total of approximately fifty tracks. All music will be available to add on your favorite streaming service Soundcloud, Youtube, Spotify (coming soon) and Bandcamp. In addition for each track we offer a limited amount of 500 free downloads through our Bandcamp page, where donations are also enabled for those who wish to support us and the artists involved.

fluid.vision is a queer collective creating new rave experiences in Berlin. Our goal is to bring a spirit of inclusivity and celebration back into the Berlin techno scene, integrating what we've learned from our own underground rave experiences. Our central mission is to create a safe environment to celebrate the LGBTQIA+, FLINTA and BIPOC communities in Berlin, by creating events that feature queer DJs, artists, performers and educators. Through workshops, performances, and dance we explore identity and expression of gender and sexuality. Fluidity parties start a dialogue to reflect on and gain a deeper understanding of our culture that can be carried on beyond the end of the party.
