Rings Around Saturn (aka Rory McPike, Dan White) presents six minutes of bottomless rave as arpeggiating bass synths suggest 303s without ever going full acid – the bass tone growls for the entirety of the track while syncopated drip drop synths provide the counter melody. Blasts of white noise remind of nightclub smoke machines and alongside manipulated bird calls contributes to the humidity and density of the tracks overall soundscape.

Russian producer Nocow returns to Rekids with an enthralling full-length album entitled ‘Atoner’ this November.

Real name Aleksei Nikitin, Nocow is known for his versatility, producing a large body of genre spanning work on labels like Clone Royal Oak, Figure, Fauxpas Musik, Gost Zvuk and Styrax. The St. Petersburg-based producer debuted on Rekids last year with his ‘Samaya Dolgaya Noch’ EP, a mellow release complete with vocal driven cuts as well as 2-step rhythms, and now returns with a myriad of productions in a fourteen track album entitled ‘Atoner’.

‘Atoner’ opens with an eponymous track that gently unravels with soaring synths and subtle percussion before Nocow’s voice emerges alongside twinkling atmospherics in ‘Complie’. Throughout the long player are also intricately produced short tracks sitting between the two and three-minute mark such as looping vocal number ‘Dancerecter’, the melodic and rattling ‘Leto’ and ominous ‘Delore’.

Ostanovitsa’ is a murky offering featuring a meandering organ riff, leading into the pitter-patter drums and serene chords of ‘Starveme (feat. Tayut Ogni)’. ‘Come Along’ is a crystalline and otherworldly experience from start to finish, whilst ‘Melting Lights’ is comprised of echoing, subterranean sounds, making way for reverberating snares and metallic stabs in ‘Standalone’.

Husky murmurs and soothing notes then make up ‘Neva’, moving into the syncopated beat and idyllic chord sequences in ‘Can’t Get Enough’ ahead of ‘Stonecold’ and its icy aesthetic. Finally, the album reaches a mesmerising conclusion with the spellbinding ‘Footer’.

Pingipung and Future Nuggets present Cosima, a Bucharest based artist, with two wonderfully poignant songs. Cosima Opârtan is widely known as one half of "Raze de Soare" (@future-nuggets). As a solo artist, she files her music under the genre widow pop - melancholically reaching out to the past and the future in one gesture. She sings like someone addressing a beloved but faraway audience, or a trusted, distant relative who can only be seen through someone else's description.

“If Strangers: this concept emerged recently, during Covid19 lockdown, as a result of which, CES - as many other institutions sought ways to continue their existence, by altering teaching process, in compliance with new regulations. Our course at CES (music production and song writing) went along with school's adjustments to lecture in front of lucid screens, divided into multiple windows, which created diverse hindrances, since our teaching methods would not survive through online interaction with the class. As physical interaction now seized to exist altogether, we had to come up with an alternative version of lecturing, which would be both educational, practical and would result in a ready-made product. Our newcomer students on the other side of the screen, (most of them complete strangers), joined us in our online project / lectures, with slim to none understanding of what they were up to. All they knew was group name: ”Collab19", and that it was not going to be our "normal" course. “

#FLUID (born 2016) - a queer act based in Bucharest - is the collaboration between Paul Dunca/Paula Dunker (performer, choreographer, actress, writer), Alex Bălă (musician) and other warped creatures. Using sound, music and a microphone as tender tools, FLUID fits into the techno-faggothique neo-genre. The duo's live appearances include very diverse  scenes and events as : MACAZ -  Bar Teatru Coop., POINT - Theatre, Sala Dalles for Eco Delta Dunării Project, Replika - Center for Educational Theatre, Street Delivery 2016, Bucharest Pride 2016, Queer Night, Voila Psychiatric Hospital (for the project ”Normality, Such a Brutal Word !” - MNAC), CAPITOL Summer Theatre, Amural Festival 3 &4/ 2017 + 2018 (Brașov), the exhibition WE WILL NOT CHANGE OUR SHOW, Brno, Czech Republic, One Gallery, Sofia, OWR 2019  & 2020 Film Festival and two weddings.
