Latin American sounds ring out on ‘Desperado’, a unique collaboration between Mòo & Jo, Demayä, Arkadyan and the vocal performance from Eribertho Cruzado. Scintillating sounds on BLOND:ISH’s Abracadabra label as per usual!
The track’s chief protagonists Mòo & Jo and Demayä explain more; “we were trying to sample an old afro-boogie song that had a crazy bassline that we actually kept in Desperado, but the rest of the track wasn't matching at all. We decided later to keep only the bassline and build around it, trying different plugins and patterns, until we came up with the idea of a trumpet riff, and it was directly into that mariachi vibes. We decided to call our friendsArkadyan to add some drums and the crazy trumpet refrain, which worked so perfectly! The idea was to make a track full of groove but matching with the tension of the bassline. We are all super happy with the end result, and the Vocal Mix with Eribertho Cruzado is simply an easy tune for any place, again we can't wait for the release.”

These songs were created with little knowledge of mixing and mastering, but they are full of raw creativity and experimentation. At the time, I was just exploring sounds, trying new ideas, and learning along the way. While they may not have the best production quality, they hold a special place in my journey. Today, I look back and appreciate them as an essential part of my evolution. This album is a tribute to my beginnings—a reminder that every artist starts somewhere.

Estas canciones fueron creadas con poco conocimiento de mezcla y masterización, pero están llenas de creatividad y experimentación pura. En ese momento, solo estaba explorando sonidos, probando nuevas ideas y aprendiendo en el proceso. Aunque puede que no tengan la mejor calidad de producción, ocupan un lugar especial en mi trayectoria. Hoy, las miro hacia atrás y las valoro como una parte esencial de mi evolución. Berlin based DJ and producer Patryk Molinari steps up for remix duties and gives Verana his 303 Treatment. Patryk knew electronic music would be a big part of his life from an early age. His late teenage years would become the moment he realised this passion was so strong and he started to produce his own music. He was influenced by the Big Beat scene but soon discovered house music opting for the deeper shades within the genre. He has released a plethora of top notch cuts across various labels in the last several years and shows no signs of letting up, definitely an artist to keep tabs on. As you'd expect from the remix title we're treated to a healthy dose of vintage 303 acid. A chunky kick drum leads the way as a meandering acid line coasts in the background over a superb thick bass. Cool FX, gated synths and swirling pads add colourful textures but it's the acid that gets under your skin giving this track a unique flavour. Top notch stuff you do not want to miss.
