Originally from the Midwest, in her home state of Missouri, living in Kansas City, an area mostly known for House Music, and Drum N Bass; the Flurwerker found herself more attracted to the broken beat styles of Drum N Bass, Breaks, and mainly ELECTRO, specifically the Florida sound; which prompted her to throw events in Kansas City, booking many of Florida's finest BREAKS and DNB artists. She has performed not only around Florida but also states, such as; Florida, Kansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Colorado. She started as a professional promoter, throwing events since 1999. Then picked up the skill; vinyl trained; since 2001 and then started on the production side in 2015; with her mentor J&H. She really found true affinity in the Electro-Breaks sound coming out of the South Florida scenes so much so that she decided to pack her bags and make the long journey to the 808 state where she now resides in the Tampa Bay area so she could further enhance her skills in the Electro Bass realms that's made Florida famous! The Flurwerker now judged as the Flurwerker the Electro Destroyer , has made her way around the Florida area such as WPB, Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, St Pete, and Orlando to name a few. She also is owner of Damage Control Records, based in South Florida specializing in Electro artist. XS, aka Jay Fatigate has been a staple in the electronic dance music scene since 1989.  Starting off in New York with Freestyle, Miami Bass, House, Hip Hop, and R&B.  In 1991 he assisted a DJ in New York’s Palladium Night Club when he received his first techno record by recording artist L.A. Style, which wrote, “James Brown is Dead.”  In 1992 he moved to Daytona Beach, FL where he entered the “Florida Rave Scene.”  He began to DJ for the Mad House @ Zonkers in Daytona Beach.  As his talent spread on scene flyers and by word of mouth,  he began to spin and work many bookings in Orlando, Gainesville, Tampa, Tallahassee,  Miami, and Fort Lauderdale, at all major venues.  In 1997 he was signed to “Go Off Productions” and played for major promotional companies such as Culture Productions, and FSOB, traveling the county.   He retired for 20 years to raise a family in South Florida.  As the pandemic hit, he began to create again.  “I have Returned” was his comeback compilation, streaming now on SoundCloud.  Currently he’s been booked by promoters such as FSOB, Sunshine State of Bass, 808 Life, Frajile Recordings, Theoryon, Culture, and  more.  His unique style of mixing will send you on a journey that you will definitely want more of!

Central Florida born & Raised. Growing up as a kid in Daytona  Beach, FL in the 1980's then a teenager in early 1990's, I was introduced to all different kinds of electronic beats. Daytona Beach was a Spring Break destination so hearing Miami Bass & Freestyle had me hooked at a young age. In 1997 I was a 16 yr old walking into rave clubs no problem in O-Town, Ybor, or bach home in Daytona going to Sol-Rays or 600N. & thus the introduction to Florida Breakz and different DJ's & Producer's. Back then we all know the struggle was real to find a dope cassette tape recording of a live DJ set from a local artist from Orlando, Tampa/Ybor, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami/Dade, or anywhere in between. Once the internet speeds came up it was easier to keep a 100 CD sleeve bag full of fire music. From 1999 - 2005 my ears constantly were ringing for days after a weekend kicking it at a party, club, or festival. My crew was in it for the Breaks & Electro, party favors came on strong in the early years, by the end we just got high on the beats and going to live performances. Memories full of explosive nights literally every weekend for the longest time it seemed. It was a magical time for the scene itself and more amazing for me getting involved at a young age. Over night I had new friends that had a common interests, passion and love of our style of music. Chilling at a boys spot or kicking it at your spot, someone was always moving a mouse and banging on keys, or everyone taking turns on the mixer and tables having fun! I will always remembering the 2 records I practiced on over n over just learning to match snare hits and trying my ass off to keep it riding out for a minute slamming. What got me hooked is actually watching a new homie I made in the scene twisting knobs, sliding faders, EQ'ing the shit outta his music and really producing proper tracks. I seen fully both sides of the world we lived. I quickly gained a new respect for the talent and skills all this young guys n gals my age were doing creating the music I still enjoy today almost 20 years later. I got into Electro naturally because of my first love, Miami Bass & Freestyle. When your 13 and screaming at the Skate City DJ filling in for Resident DJ thats AWOL and playing just garbage, I knew that I had a Bass Addiction to the 808. Dirty beats coming up I-95 from Ft. Lauderdale & Miami literally set my life on a crazy path and a love for all of what Florida offered in the music scene. No doubt about it, the new Electro coming out today is jaw dropping. When those kicks n boom drops have subwoofers pumped to the max and that quad knock is pulsing literally through your body, that is a feeling everyone needs to experience at least once in life... Agreed...lol...!!!
Viva La Electro

Techno and Industrial music was my love in High School. My first concert in 1993 was the 808 State and Meat Beat Manifesto  ‘all ages’ show at the Visage in Orlando. I was always at Visage for teen nights and I enjoyed catching the last two hours of DJ REMARK because he would spin that candy raver techno music. I was only 16 and was hooked on the electro sounds.
My first set of Technic 1200 turntables I owned was back in the late 1990’s. I sold those later in life and stopped spinning for a few years. I never learned to beat-match on those turntables. I decided to start spinning again later in life and bought a pair of belt driven Stanton ST8-50 turntables around 2000. I could not match beats until Steve Hart “Divine” told me to simply match the snares and from that point on I learned to match beats and made my first mixtape called “A 12” journey on belt drive tables”. It was Florida Breaks with two basic scratch patterns in the mix. I switched to brand new Technic 1200 turntables after that only to sell them later on in life. I managed to hold on to 100 records, all breaks and electro, which was only a quarter of my vinyl collection. I stopped spinning for many years, until 2010. I started spinning digitally because it was cheaper. That is when I started producing. My tracks are on MySpace music and unfortunately I lost them all. I went under the name of “Disciple of Bass”. I was producing dubstep grime. It took me 6 months to figure out FLstudio. I would mix dubstep grime with a cheap Hercules console. My studies in Electronics helped propel my knowledge. I stopped producing and mixing around 2012 to pursue my career in Electronics. 
2021 is when I got the hunger to mix old school breaks and electro on vinyl, after seeing DJ Stingray spin. The set was called - DJ Stingray Boiler Room x Budweiser Bogotá DJ Set. This set is on YouTube.
  Seeing and hearing DJ Stingray mix Techno and Electro, Detroit style; I was sold. So, in January 2021, I bought a 3 channel Mixdeck Express and 1 AT-LP140XP turntable. I purchased all the electro and old school Florida breaks I could afford on digital and vinyl earlier this year of 2021. As soon as I felt comfortable recording, I made my first mix which is on SoundCloud using the Mixdeck Express and the Audio-Technica Turntable. One month later in the late Spring of 2021 I bought a pair of 1200s and that Summer I finally bought a 4 channel Pioneer controller. The controller is tied into my desktop computer running Serato DJ and Serato Studio. I just started mixing and producing again in the Summer of 2021. It has been about 20 years since I mixed vinyl back to back. 
The sounds that come out of the Pioneer controller is a game changer. Each knob is very responsive. The hardware effects are a great addition to add to the mix. With the help of youtube tutorials I acquired the knowledge of phrasing better. The advances in digital technology is a new arena for me and I am just learning. I expect good things to come by next year. This is why I signed up for pro. God Bless
