When I was about 9 years old, I remember renting a game called "Revenge of the Shinobi for the Sega Genesis. I wasn't very good at playing it, but there was something about this ninja game that caught my attention at that time—the music. I would sometimes go to the options menu and listen to the background music. This piece that I remixed is from the first level of the game. The track is entitled "The Shinobi" originally composed by Yuzo Koshiro, who also composed the music for the Streets of Rage series,

I've been practicing Shodo traditionally for about four weeks, and I really enjoy the art. Lately, I have been using shodo apps as a quick alternative for practicing characters and just using the imagination. These apps are convenient because it saves time, ink, and paper. (even though it doesn't beat the real thing). There is nothing like the smell of sumi ink, or how the brush flows on washi paper. For this project, I used an app called "Zen Brush" to draw the picture . After drawing it, I thought to myself that maybe I could add some music to go along with the image. So, here is the result. I'm using a 3.0 shakuhachi made by Perry Yung.  I hope that you all enjoy! Thank you for your support and thanks for listening.

This is a tribute to the late David Carradine. You might  remember him as “Caine” from the 70s “Kung Fu” series or as “Bill” in the movie “Kill Bill” I am using a 3 foot long bamboo flute modeled after one of the flutes that Carradine used. I have watched Kill Bill and the 90s version of Kung Fu years ago, but I have only recently began watching the 70s version of “Kung Fu”. After watching almost 2 seasons, I wanted to play something that would capture the essence and spirit of what was left behind. I hope that you all enjoy this track as much as I enjoyed creating it!
