A different version of the old Mappilapaattu "Yetheemin athaani". Vocals by Haseena Mansoor. She approached me askin to recreate the track for her to dedicate it to her mother. That was sweet. She is not a trained singer so please forgive the glitches here n there. It was scary to touch a track that was embedded into the minds of a lot of people out ther (mostly older generation). Hope you like it. I tried to find the original creators of the song. The music director,lyricist n singer. The entire credit goes to them for creating such a beautiful and meaningful track. Here is a shorter version of a recent upload on Youtube from The Krimson Blend - In collaboration with Prithvi Chandrasekhar and Allwyn Jeyapaul. Beautiful percussion from Allwyn and amazing production, arrangement, mix and master (phew!) from Prithvi of Krimson Avenue Studios! 

This was originally composed by Shri Madan Mohan and the lyrics were penned by Raja Mehdi Ali Khan for the movie Anpadh (1961). Lata ji's rendition brings tears to my eyes every single time and this is an attempt at creating that kind of magic.
