Hi my name is Matthias (say: Ma-Tee-us) I live my life with a passion which I apply to everything I do..  I stand up for myself, my family and friends and for what I believe in. To me, life is an art form. I live to love and I love to play. including music.. I measure success in time spent doing what I love rather than in possession of objects... I feel blessed - for music simply came to me as a gift from the Universe. I always only just played but never practiced.. I am self-taught and what little I know about music I learned in the process of playing with some of the awesome musicians I got to play with, like Atma Anur and Ross Valory from Journey. Playing guitar I feel like I am not even really playing the music - it seems to already be playing on it's own, somewhere out there, and I am only just lucky enough to be able to let some of it out.. a tiny fraction of the vast spectrum of it. 
I mainly play guitar but also bass, some keyboards, and I sing, write, arrange, record, mix and perform (even if I have no fixed set of band members at this time). Besides music I love to fly. I'll fly anything they let me - with wings - (I don't do balloons) but only have a pilot's license for sailplanes/gliders. Of course since I like to play I *love* to do aerobatics. Sadly I haven't flown very much in the last years, with glider operations being far out of town and expensive. I am father of two girls for whom I would take a bullet or jump in front of a train...(metaphorically speaking... and only if this were to help) Besides music and aircraft I love women, motorcycles, books, electronics, making and fixing things. applying logic, learning in general, honesty... and this dog my kids talked me into getting for them which is now mine...

I believe in One Love - hoping people can put everything else aside and get it together to stop fighting, specially over religion. No god would want for people to kill each other over that.
