Flying Machine comprises four songwriters, and all members are multi-instrumentalists. -the evolving style hails from a a fusion of influences, krautrock, garage and synth-pop rub shoulders with funk, dance and classic guitar tunes. Some of the songs have been compared. to Roxy Music, Julian Cope, Blur and the Flaming Lips. All band members sing, and the vocals range between Jeff Buckley, Jonathan Donahue, Marc Almond, Bono and Mariah Carey. The Flying Machine live experience is always worth watching as well as hearing. Angsty lyrics, sarongs, a smorgasbord of hairstyles and harmonicas all collide to bring you the most ambitious new band in Brighton.

Former members of Brighton bands Caramel Jack and Flying Machine, Dreamytime Escorts are the Jack’s scuzzier, speedfreak-ier cousins.
