Richard’s fellow Yorkshireman Robert has bestowed upon him an epic remix of a track featuring David Bowie's pianist, Mike Garson, and David J (Bauhaus/Love & Rockets) on bass. Robert strips down and beefs up the mix to present Garson’s expressive, operatic piano lines in all their glory, dancing around the raw, searching sound of the electric guitar.
The original appears on his recent album “Opening Scene” which reached #164 on the US NACC national college radio charts and gained a four star review in Shindig Magazine... “Opening Scene demonstrates a broodingly sinister, consistently unique sound that's ill-served by comparisons. Having arrived in Asia several years ago and setting up his home base in Hanoi, Vietnam. Tobes found his feet as a DJ, playing in clubs and events around the region, recently featuring at (Re)Treat, Likdo and Wonderfruit festivals.

Tobes is now focusing on performing live. Experimenting with sounds and sequences that are mixed and arranged on the fly, Tobes aims for each set to be both unique and spontaneous, whilst creating an immersive atmosphere to draw the audience in.

Most commonly found playing house, with various other sprinklings of UKG, 90’s breakbeat and harder hitting deeper grooves.
