Funkgression is about our understanding of The Groove. We try to create original music you can dance to. Just for the fun(k) of it :) 

This profile is basically a pre-production site where we have an opportunity to experiment with different things. We have also our publisher-created-profile (https://soundcloud.com/funkgression-music) where the officially published material ends to. The published material can be found in most modern streaming hangouts as well.

As of now, Three Hippos Deep is is a 2 piece consisting of John Konz on guitars and Ken Martinez on bass. All other instrumentation is currently programmed using Ableton. We strive to create a melting pot of rock, funk, electronic, hip-hop, and psychedelic, and draw our inspiration from bands such as Black Sabbath, Clutch, Galactic, Parliament, Rage Against The Machine, Holy Fuck, Lionize, and Pretty Lights. We would like to eventually add additional musicians to this project (particularly vocalists(singers and rappers alike), percussionists, keyboardists/organists, and maybe even brass players!) so anyone listening who is a musician in the N.Y area and likes what they hear and would be potentially interested in jamming with us please send an e-mail to threehipposdeep@aol.com.

Also, if you like our stuff and/or have some constructive criticism we would love to hear it! Comments would be much appreciated.
