Our favorite Black Martian has returned for another interstellar mission with Club Mackan. Mundo D, captain of the Cosmic Exploration team, embarks on a retro-futuristic odyssey, delivering three stellar tracks that navigate the Synthiverse between the realms of EBM and Italo Body Music.
Joining the crew on this voyage are Club Mackan captain Marcus Christiansen and Karl Draum, helping steer the ship through the vast Synthiverse, adjusting the course with their own cosmic interpretations.
The title track, Cosmic Exploration, launches with 80s-heavy EBM percussion and bass, paired with razor-sharp saw synths that slice through the atmosphere. Echoing elements of rave, progressive house, and trance, it’s a prime example of what we like to call Italo Body Music—driving, hypnotic, and yet catchy.
Music follows a similar orbit but veers slightly toward electro, while still harnessing the piercing energy of the saw synths. It’s a cosmic signal pulsing through the ether, charged with nostalgia yet wired for the future.
Rounding off the journey, Death Match is an intense collision of 80s influences fused into a modern powerhouse, its intricate arrangements ensuring that this sonic duel is one for the ages.
When Marcus Christiansen assumes control of Cosmic Exploration, the course shifts. The ride is smoother, yet curiously bouncier—propelled by iconic 80s snares and drifting somewhere between synthwave, trance, and piano house. A new trajectory, but still within the same constellation.

Feinstoff drifts into darker territory with Space Dust, a release that feels like dancing at the edge of a vanishing world. Eleonora, fresh off appearances on Get Physical and Anjunadeep, sets the tone with a mesmerizing, dystopian haze.

Remixes from Vhyce and Freudenthal & Saeuer reframe the track from different corners of the void. Vhyce with his signature 909-driven ‘90s pulse, and Freudenthal & saeuer with an addictive melodic twist that lingers like a signal you can’t quite shake.

A cold, dystopian edge fuels the original mix. Sharp kicks, gated snares, and syncopated rave stabs orbiting Eleonora’s unmistakable vocal. Restless, searching - this track moves through a mood between nostalgia and drifting uncertainty. A tough indie dance cut with a hint of EBM. 

Vhyce opens with his signature beat before locking into an arpeggiated bassline that shifts the track into a more dreamlike orbit. The dystopia softens; stripped-back vocals echo into open space, and a mechanical synth line guides it all toward a masterfully executed drop serving a controlled reentry through synthetic clouds and starlit frequencies.

Freudenthal & Saeuer return after their standout “Do It” remix and step into darker realms with a commanding snare and pristine hats. Mustering up a round, rolling bass and an ominous drone, while Eleonora’s vocals loop and glitch like fragments from a fading memory. It all builds toward a melody that doesn’t just stick - it defines the moment, like waking up in a post-dystopian world with the system rebooting. It hits the floor with intent. Sharp, hypnotic, and hard to walk away from.

Panthera is back at the Bordello with his most energy-packed release to date. Synthsizer Hits III is forged in the heat of Hi-NRG, the romance of italo and the daring synthesizer hooks of 1980s Europe. A thick rasping beat pounds above a juddering arpeggiator line before hedonistic surges ignite “Fumare”, an achingly addictive opener. Vocals are toyed with, used to increase the potency of the chosen machines and sounds. A circling chant infects “Lucifera” as a joyous melody takes hold of this modern Summer anthem, euphoric notes ushering in the dawn while speakers and strobe throb. There is a palpable power that permeates the 12”. “The Magic Touch” sends strings sailing skyward as rich percussive textures take root below. From this fertile ground, a sensational ode to the synthesizer flowers. Vocoder lyrics, pulsating rhythms and keys that are truly fantastical. “Toccata” finishes this analogue celebration. Louis de Tomaso and Jo Kazan team up for Trisolaris, a four-track EP rooted in neo-Italo with early trance influences. Expect lush pads, rave-inspired synths, and a tight, focused energy throughout. On remix duties: Fabrizio Mammarella, who gives Gjora a gritty acid twist, and Port Manteau, whose rework taps into raw 90s rave house energy.

The title track Trisolaris sets the tone with bold synth work and tightly wound momentum. Classic Orch-Hit samples cut through the mix with precision, while soaring melodic lines and dramatic arrangement give it an epic feel — a track built for peak-time moments.

Gjora follows with a darker, more driving approach. A pulsing arpeggiated bass holds the foundation, while Louis de Tomaso and Jo Kazan’s style leans into futuristic textures and spacious, nostalgic chords. The arrangement builds gradually but deliberately, leading to a focused and tightly delivered drop.

Fabrizio Mammarella, head of Slow Motion Records, remixes Gjora with a stripped-down acid sound. A punchy snare leads the groove, surrounded by analog synths and spiraling acid lines that add tension. The remix captures the feel of a dark club: raw, and built for movement.

Closing the EP, Port Manteau reimagines Trisolaris with a dancefloor-ready spin. Keeping the original’s structure, the remix injects bold 90s pads and a tightly looped synth line. Iconic samples return with sharper definition, delivering a confident, club-focused version that ties the release together with momentum and style.
