Well known for his great stylistic elegance in the search for the beauty of the endless loop and perfect shapes. For this new adventure, he is accompanied by another great artist like Theus Mago, who adds the cherry on top of this timeless release.

We have "Say Yes" to start, which keeps us in tension all the way through. A modern funk piece of masterful simplicity. Theus Mago presents a superb remix that captures the essence of the original but takes it into his own personal style.

To continue, we have Piano Fix, an authentic sonorous voyage between styles with a strong Renato's characteristic flavour. A song with plenty of good vibes and great piano chords on the main drop that leads us to an exciting drop.

Revolution is the first chapter of the story. Audio Junkies demonstrates once more how to make all the pieces of a song fit together perfectly, a hypnotic musical journey from start to finish where all the sounds run like clockwork.

The Organism deconstructs the original track to turn it into something extraordinary and unexpected, keeping the original soul but giving it an incredible twist.

Another exercise of perfect shapes is Bidood, where nothing is missing, and nothing is left over. With a monstrous and catchy bass as the main character, it will be hard to get it out of your head.

@neurotiker and @betty-b-69  are passionate about music, and their influences come from the 80’s.
Night owls, as they both describe themselves best. Their similar interest in music led them to collaborate by founding Nouveau Futur. Despite the distance that separates them as Neurotiker is based in Rio de Janeiro in, Brazil and Betty in Lyon in, France.

DJ since 1999, Neurotiker has developed his own style of music production, that ranges from techno to disco always with a retro feel to his music. He produced music since 2010 on labels such as Ritmo Fatale, Mélopée Records, Weirdos Records, Ulla Records, Polari Records...
He’s also founding his own label, OGIO Records.

Betty worked in the night life from the end of the 80's until 2005 in the trendiest clubs and bars of Lyon, as barmaid, party organizer, or bar manager. In 1995, she moved behind the decks and learnt to mix on vinyl. Even after leaving the night life, she returned to mixing utilizing the new
technological tools. She delivers club-oriented dance mixes tinged with indiedance and dark disco, while adding some new wave.

PREMIERE: Nouveau Futur - Amour ephemere

Headed up by French-Swiss veterans LuLúxpo - the now Barcelona based Paradise Children Records ready a fresh remix on the label to celebrate their 5th anniversary. This is a re-imagining of the label head's classic track Nostalgia by the masterful producer Damon Jee; a fine and fitting addition to a label continuing to broaden smiles across global dance-floors. 

Nostalgia was originally released back in 2018 and remains a clinic in dramatic synthesis. Here, the lauded legend Damon Jee expands on a vast back catalogue with his take - in doing so, he soundtracks a memorable dance-floor moment, ripe with hedonism and illuminated by flickering strobes.

An 80s soundtrack vibe is channeled and is propelled by a throbbing Italo baseline, percolating sequences and hallucinogenic spoken word samples. Progress chugs on towards a dramatic breakdown which spreads its jaws before snapping back in to rapturous effect.

Paris-born composer, orchestrator and Musique Concretist @wladimirschall delivers a beautiful and fascinating stripped-down interpretation.
Built around an infectious hazy melody and ethereal guitar chords, in that melancholic setting, Terr's reflections on lost love resonates even deeper.

South Korean producer and dj @shubostar speeds up the pace a bit with her synth-driven, Italo inspired remix. One of Stockholm’s finest exports, Elfenberg, arrive at Bordello with four slices of synthesizer goodness. The duo open with “Forever Alone”. A cruising arpeggiator steers its way through glistening snares, rolling kicks and classic italo vocals. Night falls in the jungle “Conga Coronation”. The treetops bristle with birdsong, thickets of bongos, toms and rain sticks lead a path to dawning melodies. A wonderfully textured percussive piece, the track is intricately carved and demonstrates the diversity and depth of Elfenberg. The disco dipped futurism of “Sphere Of Missing Out” follows. Echoes of “Conga Coronation” rhythms are countered by beaming synth bars and vocoder lyrics with the Swedish pair pushing for the floor. “Cosmic Tribune” is the curtain close. Astral chords, spiralling key shifts and incising drums coalesce in this space inspired finale. A truly stunning debut from this talented partnership.

PREMIERE: Tallac - Pulsar  [RITMO FATALE]

Madrid-based producers Sandro Bianchi & Stylic present "Raver In The Booth" EP.  4 original tracks that oscillate between genres, keeping dark acid sounds, electric synths and twisted vocals as common denominators. The release comes with mega-remixes by rising star Curses, label boss of the mighty Ombra Int. label, and Parissior.

Premiered here, Curses' remix is the perfect example of the Berlin-based New Yorker's outstanding studio skills. Ebm/industrial drums, powerful bass and crazy guitar effects create an explosive cocktail aimed at multiple dancefloor movements.

PREMIERE: Sandro Bianchi & Stylic - Raver In The Booth (Curses Remix)

The Chilean producer Julian Garcia-Reyes under his project JGR, comes back to ODD Pleasures after releasing ‘Silk Android’ in the second https://soundcloud.com/odd-pleasures V.A Compilation last year. 

This time the producer and influential DJ of the Spanish Indie-Dance scene delivers two powerful tracks driven by bouncy bass lines combined with ’80s-influenced spicy beats. His signature acid synths, full of psychedelia blended with dark melodies and immersive atmospheres, are the main ingredients of this journey to outer space.

The two originals are complemented by two remixes by Radial Gaze and Balam. These bring the originals to a new dimension, imprinting their vision and unique re-interpretation to round up this heavy package.

Radial Gaze’s reinvention of “Rocket Trip” imparts his twisted hypnotic flavours to the original, delivering a mind-drilling experience. At the same time, Balam takes “Acid Trama” to an electrifying trance of Latin percussion, wild synths and ghostly vocals.

Silicodisco returns to Espacio Cielo with this tribute EP to Miami. The city where he has spent much of 2022 has crucially influenced both his music and his way of life. FREE DL: Front 242 - Headhunter (Zaratustra Edit)

A new figure sashays its way into Bordello. In one hand, a bouquet of carnations, in the other, a 12” record. Lauer. Philipp Lauer. Known for his incredible productions on labels like Running Back and Permanent Vacation, not to mention his collaborations, the German all-around good guy delivers four gems. The title piece radiates warmth, clean drum patterns giving way to beaming synth bars with vocoder lyrics bopping to the bass. Light hi-hats and a wet snare are the fertile ground from which choral key shifts break to squelching acid in this addictively diverse work. The energy levels spike, like a cork spearing its way from a champagne bottle, for the unbridled enthusiasm of “Frizzante”. Piano stabs, pulsating percussion and an infectious groove. The Summer sun may have set, but Lauer is still at the “Playa” with his playful finale. An off-kilter melody ebbs and flows on a string of rhythms, dreamy tongue-in-cheek synth play sailing this 12” off to the horizon.

Sincopat is proud to welcome back home Mr Morek and his unique and personal sound. On remix duties, one of the names of the moment, Malandra Jr, delivers a masterful reinterpretation.

To start our first release of the year, Mr Morek delights us with Hungry, a hypnotic and fresh masterpiece. A song that seeks the perfection of forms, where nothing is missing, and nothing is superfluous. Italian maestro Malandra Jr. brings the original to a darker side, with kinetic atmospheres that captivate from beginning to end. 

That Good is another example of perfect simplicity that is hard to get from your head once you have heard it. With an excellent, infinite break perfectly executed, its groove is so well-rounded that it could make you dance for hours.

Last but not least, we have Everyone, another song with the artist's signature. Trippy voices and alive synth leads all around to make your mind travel without moving from the place.

PREMIERE: Mr Morek - Hungry [SINCOPAT]

As Critical Monday takes us through the beginning of this cold new year, Matt Pompeo & Snyl open up Chapter XVII with ‘Innocent Silent’, a rather dark & emotional trip backed by dizzy arpeggiators and melodic guitars, before the plaintive but charming voice of ANGST vor GRETA makes an opening.

Following up comes the second original of this stunning release from the two producers. Here, we definitely enter the groovier territory, tainted by hints of psychedelic and melodic synths unravelling as we progress through the track.

On remix duties, Alexey Union closes this EP beautifully by taking ‘Innocent Silence’ to darker and sweatier territories, giving another depth to ANGST vor GRETA’s catchy vocals, and offering us a long and immersive break, releasing the last part of the track into an earthquake of blissfulness.

Franco-German producer Franz Matthews strikes back with his 'As I Am' EP on his own imprint HIFI/LOFI Records, a catchy Indie Dance groover with infamous self-reflecting vocals that is set to wake up every festival stage this summer.

 Made of 2 sunny originals and backed up by three killer remixes from power producers Vhyce, Yame and Tegel Boys, the EP covers all ranges of the Indie Dance spectrum beautifully.

After a strong year 2022 with a string of praised releases like The Question, which has seen major players like Ame, The Economist or Innellea widely supporting its remixes of Aera & The Organism, Franz Matthews digs in his spiritual inspirations again with ‘As I Am’.

 Produced during Matthews' time spent in Barcelona at the beginning of summer 22, As I Am lifts off with a carpet of heavy organs unfolding in a powered-up euphoria of synth chords before a choir of empowering & self-reflective gang vocals, reminiscent of early LCD Soundsystem's 'Sound of Silver' days, throw us in our face to fully accept who we are and be proud of our uniqueness. The trip takes us even further in a cosmic festival of funky acid leads, which will mind-bend any listener that will encounter the path of this catchy happiness filler.

Belgian cosmic disco mastermind Vhyce steps in for the first remix, with a spacey and mental exploration of the eponymous single. Next in row, Ukrainian ‘happy techno’ duo Yame reinterpret As I Am in a totally opposite direction with their signature vocoded and bonker production prowesses.

Sonnenallee, the second original track of the EP, is a sunny and slightly deranged funky stomper initially produced at the time of Franz's debut 'Ostkreuz' release. No one else than the fantastic disco pilot crew of Tegel Boys could close this EP more beautifully, with their infamous and obsessive acid-boogie styled hooks, making you want to dance until you can’t feel your legs any more.

PREMIERE:  Franz Matthews - As I Am (YAME Remix)

We’re delighted to welcome Italian producer Alberto Melloni to Ulla Records! With his EP “Scaleno”, he displays the vast array of his production game, going from new beat to Italo and synth-wave through 3 original tracks, supported by two remixes from Tech Support and Plexi Glass.

The eponymous opening track, “Scaleno”, sounds like an ode to the new beat era, with its punching drum beat, wild sound effects and slamming stabs. Then comes “Blonde”, entwining synths and pads, laid over a heavy rhythm section, the soundtrack to your night spree through the city. Finally, we have an uplifting ending with “False Piste”, an explosion of vibrant melodies, navigating somewhere between Italo and Synthwave.

We also wanted ace remixers on board, so we asked London-based Tech Support to put his magic hands on “Blonde”. He delivered an intense, heavy, club-ready remix with its hypnotic groove and dreamy layers of synths.

Then we have newcomers Plexi Glass, hailing from Rennes, who decided to pace it up on “False Piste”, unleashing frantic drums and galloping basslines, making for a supercharged remix.

PREMIERE: My Secret Playground - Deine Lust Feat. Joy Tyson [SINCOPAT]

Producer and label owner Marc Martinez Nadal better known as AFFKT has released on his own imprint Sincopat. Following in the footsteps of previous releases, 'Unchained' is a 4 track EP that encapsulates the essence of avant-garde electronic music and is inspired by the arrival of his firstborn.

Flowing from one track into another, blending the world of indie dance to electronica, they each tell a unique story. Yet each track intertwines with common elements to create a unifying project. ‘We are Shifting’ features a godly vocal sample from Sutja Gutierrez that compliments the utopian atmosphere of this driving groove. 'Bsoul' has shimmering pads with euphoric build-ups, 'Huarache' is characterised by a complex bass with acid-laced synths and 'Dust' a pulsating groove with a futuristic quality. An instrumental mix of 'We are Shifting' can also be found in the EP.

AFFKT 'Unchained' EP [Sincopat 110]

It’s been nine years since Antoni Maiovvi released Trauma on Bordello A Parigi. Since then and before, the Bristol-born artisan has been honing and refining his audio craft with explorations into electronics, soundtracks and rock. Now, in his latest musical incarnation, Maiovvi returns with Birds of Paradise. This avian-themed four-tracker is beyond anything you’ve heard from this synthesizer wizard. Complex, deep and layered, the EP is testament to a talent rarely heard. From the sheer elation of “Flycatcher”, which pivots and weaves, the listener is taken away. Throbbing rhythms and astral melodies are unfurled, arpeggios rumble as key scale ever higher in the heady notes of “Widowbird”. A steady kick is the morning song of “Streamertail”, warm computer tones scudding next chords that trill with optimism. Birdsong, a feature of the EP, is ever present in this agile and textured close. Drawing on his predilection for movie scores, “Quetzal” completes this feathered foray. Pulsating drums offer the updraft for a spread of sounds and shapes to takes to the wing. A unique record from an artist soaring to ever greater heights.

Eitan Reiter brings a new dimension to this epic cover version of a 90s classic while DJ T. returns to Get Physical Music with a signature remix. 

Eitan Reiter produces and releases genre-crossing electronic and electro-acoustic music. He has done so for 20 years both solo and as part of projects like LOUD but also, famously, in collaboration with Sebastian Mullaert on labels like Mule Musiq. He is an experienced sound designer and mixing engineer who goes down a nostalgic route here and as a result, has cooked up a real party anthem. 

This new version of the 90s classic is defined by rave-ready stabs with talk box vocals that bring retro-future appeal. Acid lines weave in and out of the metallic drums as the famous chords and female cries arrive to blow up the club. 

DJ T. is on a brilliant run of form that has seen the enduring underground talent start a new label, new alias, and continue to serve up fresh tracks on the label he co-founded over 20 years ago. His remix totally overhauls the original. It is steely and stripped back to a muscular groove and peppered with dark hits and edgy chords. It's tribal and hypnotic and perfect for heads-down dancing. 

This is a fresh package from Get Physical Music which offers both nostalgia and futurism.

"I am a total 80’s kid, and I remember when the song came out, and I heard it on the radio. My uncle grabbed me and spun me around to the sound, and from then on, this song stuck with me until now. Whenever I hear the original track, I sing along and spin myself around for the fun of it. I love the happy vibe to it and the very positive driving power of it. With the re-edit, I wanted to keep the original vibe and the key elements to make it still very clearly recognizable over the time of the track, revealing the main vocals rather late, teasing the listener and sending him on a mind journey.” The track was produced with the support of Julian Laping aka https://soundcloud.com/toneaffair

It looked like a normal night under the stars.
In the forest clearing, people were building the stage and setting up the scenery for midnight's big rave.

Alice came to dance but arrived too early to the party.
While she was sitting outside the camp she saw a funky monkey jumping right in front of her.She heard a whisper but wasn't sure, so she started to follow the little monkey.

Out of the blue she fell down, or was she climbing up?
It all ended very quickly and, to her surprise, nothing seemed to changed around her. On her way back to the camp she started to hear dark, psychedelic electronic music. Very quietly she could hear a mantra saying “Petit Monde... Petit Monde..”

She was drawn to the intoxicated voices.
As she arrived, she was shocked to find the camp was full of people, all standing still in front of the DJ booth and humming the mantra.
Slowly she walked inside. People cleared the way for her to pass all the way to the DJ. Suddenly a strong light appeared, and the DJ pointed out at her and shouted- Danse Alice!!
And the party started.

We're really happy to finally share this release coming directly from Brazil! ID ID and Mau Maioli offer us two massive weapons with Ddance et Cellos. Ddance is catchy from the very first second, and its voice naturally leads us to dance. Cellos has more of a nostalgic vibe thanks to its synth layers but is still a very powerful track.

On the remix duties, Badwolf delivers us a more minimalist and dark version of Ddance, but just as strong as the original.

No doubt that this release greatly reflects the sound of Critical Monday.

PREMIERE: ID ID & Mau Maioli - DDance (BadWolf Remix)

French electronic producer Blutch is back with another supremely trippy EP “Condate” on home label Astropolis Records, featuring a remix from Azo.

This Brittany native has a broad, borderless sound that mixes up electronica, breakbeat, house and IDM with stirring emotional undercurrents that range from nostalgia to melancholy. Last year he served up his superb ‘Terre Promise’ album on the label, and once again, it combined a raft of different sounds on one majestic record. He again shows off his ability to layer captivating melodies over compelling rhythms on this fresh new EP which extends his LP released last year with a more dancefloor suite. "Condate" is the original name of the city of Rennes in Brittany, France, where he lives. A city he loves passionately. The tracks featured in this EP are mainly taken from his live act "Terre Promise". The cover artwork also comes from the audiovisual live act: a motion design work made by Romain Navier, mixing landscapes from Brittany and hallucinated 3D creations, dressing Blutch's stage with a fabulous work around the album's theme. These tracks represent the more festive part of the live show, just as Blutch's love for Rennes is also linked to its festive character. 

Opener ‘Super Charger’ is a slick cosmic exploration on upbeat drums. It is filled with mind-expanding colours and chords but has a playful and catchy lead that will get hands in the air and bring absolute joy to the dance floor. ‘Condate’ is a much more physical cut driven by a slick breakbeat. Melodic rain falls down the face of the track as booming bass roots you to the dance floor, and once again, the whole track is doused in heavenly synth work and subtle waves of euphoria. Showing yet another different side to his sound, the brilliant ‘Rebirth’ is a deeper track with astral synths radiating all around you. It has a classy trance vibe that sweeps you off your feet and carries you off to the stars.

Remixer Azo is a Belgian powerhouse behind top parties in Brussels; she is also a Kiosk Radio resident, keyboardist and sound engineer. She mixes acid, techno and electro into a colourful and high-energy trip that will take the club to the next dimension.

‘Condate’ is a perfectly impactful EP, both physically and emotionally. The EP drops on the 24th March (vinyl/digital) with preceding single ‘Condate’ arriving on the 22nd February.

PREMIERE: Blutch - Super Charger

Jazxing's take on "Szach Mat", a new track from the upcoming "Horror Vacui" EP by the Polish duo Ikarvs shows a change of course from delicate Balearic shores to harsher lands. Inspired by sounds bordering on EBM, electroclash and new beat, this new release is a belter for fans of a chuggy, bocca rhythms with an acid touch. The clash of influences of downtempo and post-punk vibes in both projects resulted in a spacey and trippy joint for all slow-groove lovers.

PREMIERE: Ikarvs - Szach - Mat (Jazxing Chug Mate Dub)

Side Up Works is releasing their second EP of the year, which features the work of DJ and producer Gleb Bykox from Kharkov, Ukraine. Bykox is the creator of the FRISSON project and is recognized as one of the best DJs in his country, having gained a reputation for delivering top-notch electronic sound at the most relevant underground parties. The EP includes three original tracks, along with a remix by Niv Ast, a renowned DJ and producer from Tel Aviv, Israel.

Originally from Newcastle-upon-Tyne but now residing in Bristol, talented up-and-comer Port Manteau has introduced his wide-reaching sound palette via the likes of Street Tracks, 10 Steps North and Zerothree as he explores the wider corners of his own electronic influences. Beginning the next chapter of his young career, having supported artists such as Sasha, Hot Since 82 and Yousef, late March welcomes a new project to the mix as he launches his own label, Kitsch. A home for explorations across indie dance, progressive house and electronica, the imprint will look to ‘combine the best of past and present’ to showcase unique and eclectic musical experiences, starting in style with the launch EP ‘Mandala/Apophis’. 

“I believe in pushing boundaries, experimenting, and carving out a new space in the industry. It’s one thing learning all the technical stuff, but the real effort is creating a totally different track that no one has heard before. My sound is all about taking the best of the music I love from a variety of genres and ending up with something unique.” - Port Manteau. 

Powerful and expansive title track ‘Mandala’ opens the package with authority, with a medley of sweeping synths, captivating vocals and energy-building melodies combining for an endorphin-driven anthemic lead offering. Next, ‘Apophis’ unveils a melting pot of sounds, drawing from a wide range of genres, from Italo-influenced leads to bubbling acid basslines, for a scintillating ride to close the show.
