Let's go on a trip through the Bizzarro Universe.

The Hamburg-based producer couple Bizzarro Universe is back on Verflixt Music for their third release. "Speed of Light" is a perfect rollin’ space track. The Bizzarros prove their sense for the dancefloor with a track for the peak time. Keeping the Italo vibes, they delight an uncompromising piece. The female robotic voice in the breaks lets no clue, that you're on a flight through space & time, and the drop comes in like your spaceship hits Speed of Light: Powerful and with a Big Bang.
  
Remix action comes from Louis de Tomaso (Ritmo Fatale) and David Body (Melopee Records, Exploited). Louis gives us a more trancy vision, with slightly 90s influences and those synth melodies he likes. David delivers a more Italo House version with a softer piano synth, perfect for the late summer!

PREMIERE: Bizzarro Universe - Speed Of Light (Louis De Tomaso Remix)

Collaborating previously on DGTL, having known each other for years, Dutch brother duo Parallelle and France’s Nicolas Masseyeff have created a partnership within the studio that clicks. Parallelle are multi-instrumentalists, composers, producers and Klassified Records owners with a hybrid sound that mixes up electronica, electro-jazz and underground house, while Masseyeff is equally accomplished and draws on minimalism, jazz, new wave, Detroit and Chicago when crafting his signature sound on the likes of Systematic Recordings and Diversions Music. Linking up again, the three talents combine for a first outing on Crosstown Rebels with ‘Renegade’.

Thomas of Parallelle says, “We have created a very complementary, fun and fluid creative flow when together in the studio. We like to keep a renegade mindset and always look for a dirty groove.” And that shows across these latest creations.

Up first is title track ‘Renegade’, a deep mid-tempo house shuffler. The drums are elegant and airy, with bright chords and a rasping baseline. It’s a real mood builder with dramatic synth sweeps that brings a sense of class to the dance floor.

Israeli artists Adam Ten & Mita Gami have been a creative force for the last couple of years, and their ‘High On’ EP on Crosstown Rebels last year gained huge success, defining a new movement of psychedelic house sounds. Their remix of ‘Renegade’ offers a slowly unfolding masterclass with moving melodies and modulated synths casting a captivating spell.

Last of all is ‘Bandidos’, another deep and subtle track infused with rich synth work. The bright lines and deft pads are lithe and loose over the underlapping drums, encouraging you to gaze in awe as you get lost in the mellifluous groove.

The Queer Northern-Ireland born Cormac is back from another busy year as a label honcho and curator with the second Polari compilation No Tears In The Backroom Vol. 2 scheduled for release 31st of January 2024.

The compilation is filled with synth heavy swings, acid basslines, steamy vocals and lots of fun, making NTITB Vol. 2 the perfect entrance release into the new year.

Cormac says; No Tears In The Backroom Vol. 2 is a unique family with offerings from Polari hitmakers such as Jordan Nocturne, ROTCIV, & Louis de Tomaso as well as introducing new talent to the roster including DJ City, Nimmo, Shay Shaz, Hifi Sean, Joshua James + Xols.

I curate the compilation much as I do a DJ set, so there is a voyage of sorts in listening to the compilation as a whole. I encourage the listener to listen as you would an album, although they of course work solo as well.

A 10-track long journey forms a unique force of anthemic sounds, tapping into nostalgia but never pulling away from today's references. No Tears In The Backroom Vol. 2 serves as a dance-heavy pursuit aiming to not hold back.

The label profits from the new compilation are going to charity. Polari has previously raised money for All Out. Doctors Without Borders is a politically neutral Non-Governmental Organisation whose main objective is to treat people in regions of the world where they are most needed. They are currently most active in Gaza and have a further 70 projects active in the world.

Club Mackan begins its retro-futuristic journey into 2024 with a brilliant EP by French DJ and producer Vaälha. This Odyssey will make you feel like the main character in any sci-fi movie exploring the vast unknown space or an alien planet far from home through dark soundscapes, mean synthesisers, and heavy percussion.

To make this journey a little safer, we brought along three talented producers, Panthera, My Secret Playground and Austher, to guide us through eventual parallel dimensions and alternate realities.

With their own interpretations of what an ‘Odyssey’ could be like, Panthera opted for what we think is a modern EBM interpretation of reality. While this reality may seem like a stripped off version of reality, don’t be fooled! There’s an intricate amount of detail waiting to be explored.

My Secret Playground turned ‘Laser Shooting’ into an acid trip, exploring possible and parallel dimensions which seems both creepy and hauntingly beautiful, by adding additional melodies to the original.

Austher turned ‘Clear Mind’ into a real powerhouse. A very adventurous powerhouse that despite all the power, feels somewhat more optimistic. If there was any fuel missing in the tank, it’s because Austher’s version used up all of it.

Next is influential Manchester-based DJ/producer AJ Christou, who has released on the likes of Hot Creations and Cuttin’ Headz. His track ‘Back & Forth’ brings an infectious groove with plenty of flair and catchy drum funk, before TMPLE shuts things down with the deft, airy grooves and floating bass of ‘The Girl In The Room’, complete with its tender male vocals.

At the forefront of electronic innovation, Crosstown Rebels stands as a pivotal platform and record label, reflecting the genre’s diversity and housing an impressive roster that includes renowned artists and household names like Art Department, Maceo Plex, and Jamie Jones. Mike Sacchetti & Reyk teamed up and joined the series revamping the 1981 classic "Exalt Exalt" by Azoto for the modern dancefloor and your listening pleasure.

Mike Sacchetti is an Amsterdam-based producer and DJ. His sound often fuses guitars, heavy basslines, disco drums and elements of the 90s culture. You can find his music on labels such as Ombra, Duro, Logical Records, PlayPal Music and more.

Reyk is passionate about (Dark) Disco and founded the Amsterdam-based platform TANK Kollektiv and TANK Radio. He shares his musical love as a DJ through podcasts, small-scale events, and (inter)national performances. Four years ago, Francesco Strippoli debuted on Bordello A Parigi with Universal Oneness followed by the analogue rich Prison Planet EP. 

Once again, donning his Armonics alias, the Bari based producer returns with four tracks for "Future Echoes". The synthesizer warmth that has characterised past releases is immediately present. 

At the heart of “Floating High” is Strippoli’s keyboard work. Beats are crisp and understated as waves of melodic murmuration bob and weave to complement each other perfectly. A steady kick introduces the textured title work. Warbling notes give way to bolder chords, chords that are blurred by shimmering arpeggios as layers of harmony expand and unfold. Nostalgia meets the needle on the flip.

“Retrospectiva” blends subtle shades with brassy extravagance, the sun and romance of southern Italy radiating in tempered brilliance. 

The energy of “Music and Lights” closes. Throbbing keys are further fortified by swirling synth stabs, the intensity being ratchetted up to boiling point in this dancefloor delight. Quality through and through.

Introducing a fantastic new release from Rigopolar and Disto Disco - Spaced Out EP. This 5 track collaboration includes two brand new original tracks, as well as three remixes from stellar artists: Phunkadelica, Cabizbajo & Colossio, and Childs. The EP will release on Rigopolar's own label, Tour De Infinite. 

Rigopolar a.k.a Manuel Castaneda is a Miami based DJ and producer originally from Mexico. He has released previously on Duro, Nazca and most recently on his very own Tour De Infinite. Through a mixture of italo disco and techno, Rigopolar has crafted his expansive sonic universe. His music is inquisitive, and challenges the listener to dive deep and ask big questions along with him. Where do we come from? Where are we going? 

In Spaced Out EP he joins forces with DJ duo Disto Disco. These Mexican party starters know disco inside and out. Their club night Discoteca Seducción has taken them across Mexico and beyond, where they showcase the finest selections of disco, dark disco, italo and indie dance. 

The EP begins with Untitiled, a masterful study on the fundamentals of disco. This 8 minute epic track stretches time - stripped back with a focus on perfecting the core elements of irresistible grooves. Expertly crafted instrumentation which give the track a live, organic feel. A groove that grows on you as it repeats, each element digging a little deeper and hooking you a little more until you’re on the ride with them. 

Moving into title track Spaced Out, which has more of an 80s feel. Space age post-disco with an acid flavour. Like Untitled, Spaced Out has the kind of chord progressions that make you double take. Beautifully crafted harmonies in the synths which transport us to this cosmic space - we're Spaced Out as the name suggests. Its compelling bassline repeats throughout, inviting us in and leaving us in a constant state of suspense. 

The EP is an impressive exploration through indie dance and disco variations, and is certainly not to be missed! Spaced Out EP will release 26th of February, 2024 via Tour De Infinite on all digital and streaming platforms.

Born in Mexico, now living in France, Leonor is a well received producer with a remarkable impact in the electronic scene releasing in labels such Feines Tier, My Favorite Robot to name a few.
He lands on Polaris with a beautiful Ep plenty of matisses, featuring a collaboration with the  French producer 'Iba Boo'.

The Ep kicks off with shimmering energy with the track ‘Yo Soy'. The Mexican artist sets the scene with a sprawling, spacey trip. With deep chugging and undulating guitars, it's a swampy, intense road trip... with no way home.

Next up on Tensnake's True Romance is a slice of zenith-energy Italo from long-term label friends Dan Corco and Max Muller. The duo have appeared across their catalogue in varying forms - both as individual artists and collaborators - and they do what they do best in aligning a potent studio set-up to create some immaculately executed dance floor heat.

An Alpha Juno line dictates the groove, gathering momentum as it snowballs over the top of a slapping, muscle-bound Disco kit. Panned stabs pop out with colour while a treated vocal bleeds in at the base of an electrifying breakdown. The drop boxes back in with equal doses of sass and drama that make it an absolute sure-shot for a peak-time dance floor.

PREMIERE: Laion - Conquest Of Happiness (Bubs Remix)

Here at Bordello, the hot season has already arrived. Championing this warmth is Italy’s very own Hey Cabrera! The Turin based dynamo melds elements of electro disco, italo and house to create a uniquely aromatic blend of dancefloor joy. Clean drum patterns, claps and hi-hats are at the foundation of “Italo Void”. From these percussion points, a bold and ensnaring melody takes flight; glimmering synthlines shining from beginning to end. Fellow Bordello mainstay, Lauer arrives to bring his own analogue sound to the title piece. Accentuating that irrepressible tune, piano keys give extra ballast with a touch of late evening romance as we wait for the sun to come up. The flip transports us to Scandinavia for some unrequited love. Although “Forelskelse” may mean unexplored passions, this track is brimming with emotions. Burning with a smouldering energy, ingredients from disco to house combine to produce a wonderfully uplifting work. David Bay, of Zissou Records fame, closes with his interpretation of “Forelskelse”. A measured introduction gives way to those addictive notes of the original, Bay stripping back the samples to allow the instruments to sing. A soundtrack to see us into a magical summer.

The captain returns to his ship with two new dancefloor weapons. 
This time he's teamed up with Autralian producer Haptic for the track 'Last Drive'. 
On the remix duties, we warmly welcome to the talented Brazilian Waltervelt (Ellum). 


Last Drive' is the first chapter of the story, a track that takes listeners on a psychedelic journey with Australian Haptic's trippy vocal and infectious rock rythms, creating a captivating and hypnotic break. 


We continue with ‘Abre Los Ojos’, another solid and compact signature track from the French producer, with an infectious groove that gets stuck in your head, accompanied by cinematic breaks that will get crowds dancing. A perfectly executed track for your closing set. 

Waltervelt's remix is an extraordinary reinterpretation, retaining the essence of the original and taking it to its darkest side.

PREMIERE: Darlyn Vlys - Last Drive Feat. Haptic [POLARIS]

For the second release of "Rewind It", Agle teams up with the talented Dutch composer Machinegewehr, known for his epic synth releases on Bordello in Parigi. Together, they craft two synth-driven tracks that pay homage to the iconic soundtracks of 80s sci-fi movies. Drawing from the atmospheric tones and futuristic motifs prevalent in films such as Blade Runner, Tron, and THX 1138, the compositions transport listeners to a world of neon-lit cityscapes, dystopian futures, and interstellar adventures.     

Agle transforms the two tracks into remixes that craft a direct path to the dancefloor, amplifying the track’s energy and ensuring an electrifying atmosphere.

PREMIERE: Agle & Machinegewehr - Into The Night (Club Remix)

For release number 045, Luv Shack Records brings together two long time contributors Jakobin and ROTCIV for a split EP thats brimming with references to early 90s electronica.
Jakobin lays the foundation with the bubbly, trance infused „Drawan“, follows up with the spooky, upbeat electro of „Skulpt“, and finishes off with „Octagonial Tribe“, a track that oscillates between laid back melodies and squelchy acid sequences.
On the flip-side, ROTCIV showcases his signature style of industrial new beat madness: „Frenesy“ marries breakbeats with syncopated synthesizer sequences, „No More Room in Hell“ sound like a late 80s Italo Disco instrumental on steroids, while „The Confidence“ opts for broken beats and ethereal FM-flutes. As a digital bonus, ROTCIV gifts us with a heavy hitting, acid infused track by the name of „Living Art“.

French producer Panthera steps up to Melodize with a pair of Italo inspired cuts that come remixed by the legendary Lauer and Endrik Schroeder.

Panthera prefers to remain secretive about his identity, but his music has plenty of people talking. It has come out on labels such as Bordello A Parigi, Polaris and Correspondant so far and contains a distinct, synth-heavy, euphoric sound.

This is evident from the beginning with 'Hustle', a colourful and cosmic cut with rich melodies, occasional vocal touches and shimmering arps. They bring sugary rushes of joy to the mid-tempo nu-disco drums and will douse dance floors in subtle euphoria. Remixing this one is the underground stalwart Lauer, who always brings his retro style to his disco and house on labels such as Permanent Vacation and Running Back. His version is faster and more direct, though still packed with starry melodies and subtle synth motifs that bring it to life.

Panthera's 'Western Union' then brings more raw percussion and slapping drums but again takes flight through the cosmos on sleek synth lines with hints of 80s nostalgia. It's a track that is always on the rise and full of bright, irresistible melodic suspense. Remixer Endrik Schroeder also hails from France and is a fast-rising talent with credits on the taste-making Bordello A Parigi, Ritmo Fatale, and Roam Recordings. He flips the original into a more propulsive and urgent nu-disco weapon with crashing drums and synth loops spiralling around the track as extra melodies fall like stardust to light up the groove.

There is real quality as well as plenty of feel-good energy to these four shiny, synth-heavy tracks.

Rory Hamilton, aka Hammer, is a Belfast-born and bred producer and one of the underground's most astute artists. He co-helmed the famous Feel My Bicep blog with Bicep and has taken his brand of disco worldwide. He has released it on Optimo, Shall Not Fade and others while running his own Italo Hiits and Remmah. Now he offers another sneak peek of the upcoming Ibiza Get Physical with 'Red Alert.' 

It is a superb and chugging disco sound with a sleazy low end and cosmic arps that spiral up top. A taught bassline keeps things rooted to the floor while subtly euphoric emotions, Italo chord work and retro sound designs all bring the colour. 

Remixer ABSOLUTE. is a key figure on the London dance scene who has graced the cover of Mixmag and released massive crossover hits like ‘String Theory’,’Stuck in Love’ and ‘Voices’ whilst dropping music on Shall Not Fade, DJ Haus’ Hot Haus and La La’s Sound as Records, amongst others. His High Alert Remix is a raw and percussive one that channels early Chicago house and is lit up with rave-ready stabs and full-throttle drums.

Feinstoff regular Tallac is a producer and DJ from San Francisco. He found his love for synth music at an early age, obsessing over the soundtracks of 80s sci-fi movies like The Running Man, Akira, Blade Runner, and Dune, before finding his way to proper dance music during his teens in the late 90s. Through his tracks, he tries to capture that formative love of all things analog and outer space into songs and sets that feel simultaneously lost in time and pushing beyond the infinite.

In the United States, Tallac saw success with indie rock and bloghouse remixes throughout the early 2010s and played his eclectically-flavored sets at venues and warehouse parties in San Francisco, New York, and Burning Man, bringing the sounds of outer space to eager listeners hoping to find new homes in distant galaxies.

Now living in Berlin and focusing on an Italo and Space Disco sound, he’s seen singles and remixes released on AEON, Ritmo Fatale, and Sinchi Collective, and played sets at some of Berlin’s finest: Re:mise, Bulbul, and his recurring Italo Disco residency at Palabra Bar in Friedrichshain.
