Italian born, Florence-based @matisaxx is injecting a more than efficient trancy and bumping prog house energy into the original, while staying true to its emotional side. A glorious version tailored made for euphoric hands-in-the-air, get-lost-in-the-moment scenes in the clubs.

Paris-born composer, orchestrator and Musique Concretist @wladimirschall delivers a beautiful and fascinating stripped-down interpretation.
Built around an infectious hazy melody and ethereal guitar chords, in that melancholic setting, Terr's reflections on lost love resonates even deeper.

South Korean producer and dj @shubostar speeds up the pace a bit with her synth-driven, Italo inspired remix. Beyond The Struttosphere return to Gouranga in full force, two years following the release of their lauded debut EP, New Frontier. The title track of Astral Riders imagines the two cosmonauts burning through the atmosphere to a soundtrack of chugging metallic guitar stabs, syncopated arpeggiators and celestial 808 hits, coupled with an extraterrestrial vocal sample from the 1969 cult biker film, Easy Rider. The track builds in momentum, before propelling into cloud nine with a fully tranced-out crescendo. Remix duties are provided by two maestros of the scene: Mexican dark wave legend Rigopolar applies his signature formula to the original, stripping it back to its core components, and bolstering it with cosmic synths, driving motorik percussion and a Donna Summer style bassline that ramps up the groove. Israeli house aficionado Juvë delivers a second remix that draws on elements of deep house and comes loaded with distorted FX, ethereal pads and reverberating low-end synths that culminate in a spectacular drop. 
The second offering, Canyon Grit, is as gnarly and raw as its name suggests: this is full throttle dancefloor banger, commanded by a dynamic resonant chug bassline, reinforced with cutting snares, driving hi-hats, reverbed guitar loops, and Hendrix-inspired psychedelic 303 sequences that will leave you gasping for air. The original is backed by a stellar remix from Tiempo De Maldad, another Mexican stalwart, whose take cruises through hyperspace in unfaltering abandon, with kinetic drum workouts and spacey synths that navigate the tune to its tripped-out conclusion. 
The final track, Set Lasers To Stun, comes laden with intoxicating solo guitar recorded live on a vintage Stratocaster, deployed with euphoric Rhodes piano, galactic laser zaps, twanging new wave guitar chords, and the BTS trademark chug bassline. The EP closes with a remix from Rebolledo, head honcho of Burning Man’s Mayan Warrior and one half of the legendary Pachanga Boys. His contribution remodels the track into a dark and hypnotic desert trip, with dusty FX and dreamlike melodic pads that will no doubt teleport dancefloors into the stratosphere.

We’re very happy to welcome on board JackWasFaster for our 12th release at LATIDO.
JackWasFaster, born and based in Madrid, has spent the last few years contributing to the effervescent Spanish scene with releases/remixes on Rotten City, Factor City, Latido or Playground. He has played live/dj sets at Sonar, FIB, Brunch, Mad Cool, Paraiso, Mondo or Razzmatazz. His tracks have been played and supported by many artists that we admire such us Andrew Weatherall, Massimiliano Pagliara, Curses, Terr, Echonomist or Mugwump to name a few.
In this new Ep, The South, Manu Cachero shows some of his main hallmarks. Thrilling synths, intoxicating and unexpected melodies, and a cosmic and synthetic envelope that teleports you to a new dimension. From the detuned and intricate synth lines of the sparkling title track, to the acid rush of “Silver Ships”, to end up on the killer and mental bassline of “It Started In Jamaica”.
Along with the three original tracks on the EP, there are two amazing remixes by the unmistakable Freudenthal, and the always forceful Señora, to make The South a magnificent Ep.

JackWasFaster - The South (Freudenthal Remix) [Latido]

Tonylight, a genuine master of the 8bit music scene, takes the advantage of his long-standing experience in the sound machines’ design and production within LEP (“Laboratorio Elettronico Popolare”), to constantly change his set-up to shape new tracks, always maintaining a characteristic pure analogue and instinctive approach in all his compositions. “Lumanoide” sounds raw, acid and old-school, with unsettling dynamics and motorik rhythms. This latest album by Tonylight can be viewed as a fully-matured version of the previously produced albums that were almost entirely based on the use of Gameboy and Nanoloop. The creative verve is the same, but the sounds are full-bodied, deep, intense, and obtained by exploiting a recently produced Danish groove-box to its limits. Lumanoide is inspired by the unforgettable nights in the clubs of the 90s, and all tracks are 120 bpm, in homage to the Marco Dionigi's "slow motion" djsets. The name of the album comes from "Lumanoise", one of the synths produced by LEP, of which Tonylight is one of the founders.
