Michael Mayer became obsessed with Erik Luebs, an American producer based in Osaka, after stumbling upon his independently released music on Bandcamp. Luebs’ talent for creating high-energy, minimalist acid techno with impeccable, futuristic sound design swiftly earned him a regular place in Mayer’s sets. It was only a matter of time before Luebs made his debut on Kompakt’s Speicher series with this highly versatile EP. ‘Riding the Blade’ opens the four-track EP, showcasing Luebs’ signature punchy psychedelia. ‘Scarlet Viscera’ features a sleek, minimal groove that is reminiscent of the genre’s heyday in the 2000s. ‘Transform Into Glass’ emanates blissful Detroit vibes, and the EP closes with a real bang: ‘Sucked Through Tube’ creates a frenzy on the dance floor without the need for a single kick drum. If you like your techno sexy and forward-thinking, there’s no way around the man from Osaka. Play it loud!

London's cosmic disco voyagers Beyond The Struttosphere return with 'Silver Hawk'-a lush, guitar-driven cosmic chug that blends hypnotic basslines and shimmering synths into an interstellar dance-floor journey.

Up first on remix duty is Phunkadelica delivering an uplifting, groove-infused version that injects funk and radiance, while Jason Peters takes things into high gear with an energetic mix that leans heavy on acid twists and 80s synth nostalgia.

The Darker Side of Disco is a radioshow hosted by Reyk. In the monthly show he will showcase Disco influenced music with a darker twist. It will feature the latest releases and timeless classics from genres like Italo Disco, Indie Dance, Dark Disco, some trance vibes and everything in between

I’m currently traveling in Amman, where I’ll be playing at Hobtape x Plastik. So, there’s no spoken intro for this month’s episode. Still, I wanted to share this episode with you right away. It was a spontaneous recording I made while on the move.The mix blends some of my favorite darker tracks with melodic ones. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
