Bigger is Better, a double EP album, has all the depravity and drama you would expect from these disruptors. “Waking Up The House” melts claps, cowbells and vocals over a molten melody. Bold stabbing keys are central to “The Right Thing”, lyrics spiralling skyward as a bitter acid line pulls the track down into the sweaty pit of the club. That TB303 goes into overdrive for the wonderfully demonic hedonism of “Bypass My Love.” Two-stepping jack is given a voice thanks to the breathy words of Josh Caffe as fanfare rains. The understated “Let Yourself Go” is a distant cousin of the bawdy and brutish “I Know A Bitch”, the heavy bass and cutting samples of the finale recalling the basement bruisers of Chicago. “Be Somebody” is a proud call to a dirty beat; chin up, chest out and let the claps and hi-hats fly. Flanger effect units are pushed to the max in “Trip To Your Mind”, an acid dripping, falsetto bending banger. Rhythms collide and sweat hits the floor in the body jacking “You Want Me” before the new age rave mantra of “Transcend Your Body” with its steepling synth stabs and 303 barbs. The close, “Girls and Boys,” is inspired by a Brit Pop hit. Beefed-up, muscled-up, this club ready weapon will bring the house down.

Not content with a double 12” of acid drenched delinquency, Schrödinger’s Box have drafted in four 303 addicts to bring their own acrid fire to Hard Ton’s Bigger is Better. To get the bitter ball rolling, Larionov opens. Known for his dark electro and EBM leanings, this reinterpretation of “Transcend Your Body” is a bruiser of throbbing pulses, lancing lines and stabbing synths to pierce the fog and strobe. Rude 66 follows with his beloved vocoder doing battle with Massimo Bastasi’s original vocals. The result is a duel of distant rhythms and shimmering wordplay. The flip sees Nightwave on the attack. Brawny beats elbow lyrics in this driving audio onslaught. Bulging rusted basslines crush speaker cones as a blistering remake takes hold, blasts of body bending brutalism turning Hard Ton’s original into an even sweatier brute. An artist born and raised on analogue squawk and squelch finishes. Posthuman, one of the infamous figures behind the I Love Acid nights, takes the tongue-in-cheek Brit Pop flashback of “Girls and Boys” and contorts it into a grimy Chicago jam.

The 16th release of Belly Dance Services also marks the 4th edition of Various Worldwide, where artists from across the globe join forces for a mini album with 8 tracks.

From Italy with love for a certain musical weirdness: 'Bubble Gum'. A mesmerizing teamwork between A-Tweed and Kakofonico. After starting off steady and percussive, the beats per minute shift up with Cosman from the Lithuanian coast when he delivers his vibrant version of 'Space Disco'. The third track 'No Man Around' is a magnetizing joint venture between AckerMan from Israel and Funboys trio from Australia. The ritualistic cowbell ceremony is followed by 'Blew my Mind', a cheerful downtempo anthem from Vienna based producer Klaus Benedek. The voyage continues via Turkey and Mexico, where Fat&Bald and Ludviq celebrate their 'Age of Trippiness' with us. The 6th track is a new alliance between Belly Dance Services head Nick Hanzo and German-Greek vocalist Geraldine. Together as 'das molekuel' their emotional 'Chasing Game' will swirl up your serotonin level. The molecules continue exploading while listening to 'Unity', a very hip collab between lithuanian sound doctor Bojarchück and Madrid based Chilenian wizard Persona RS. After traveling between various continents the journey finally arrives in the capital auf Austria. 'Cato' by Peter Zack will complete your summer with dreamy elements and dubby vibes.

Master Italo Brutalo (SXDNS091) is back on his very own Bungalo Disco with “Heartware”, a stunning 12-track synth extravaganza – originals only, by the way –, soon available on vinyl, cassette, and digital formats. An actual and definitive showcase of this true believer in the power of hardware samplers and analogue synthesizers, the album encompasses many of his most notable influences such as 80s Electro, Electronica, Disco, EBM, Techno, and of course, Italo Disco.

For those not familiar with his career, the first thing you need to know about Mr. Brutalo is that he is a complete artist when it comes to both DJing and producing. Watching one of his streams, for instance, is simply mesmerising not only because of his beautiful three-deck setup but also due to his killer turntablism skills – a forgotten format in the sync/rekordbox era. And amid his from here to eternity list of releases, some of his most noteworthy works appeared on vital labels such as Mozzarella Recordings, Days Of Being Wild, NEIN, Logical, Spa In Disco, Silhouette Music, Golden Soul, Nang, Emerald & Doreen, ESTHÉTIQUE, Espacio Cielo, and Bungalo Disco itself, just to name a few.

But let’s go back to “Heartware”, shall we? More specifically to this banger we were solicited to premiere: “Chemical Element” combines a pulsating Hi-NRG-infused bassline with minimalistic but frenzied Techno elements. The result is a peak-time beast devoted to wreaking havoc on the dance floor and teaching you basic Chemistry.

Fists clenched, brow furrowed, he bit his bottom lip to stop him shouting the myriad of profanities the swirled around his head. Everyone that knew him well would describe him as having a calm temperament; a level-headed individual who approached situations with composure and coolness, but this time his patience was tested like never before. He felt as if his head were about to explode; if he were in a cartoon smoke would be firing out of his ears and the shrill whistle of a kettle boiling would resound around the place. Steadying his breath he brought himself back down to solid ground, he hoped that would be the first and the last time his calm exterior would be shattered.

In the world of psychedelic, punk-tinged electronic music, Duro Records boss Theus Mago and Ombra International founder Curses are prolific producers in their own right, so when the pair come together you know that sparks are guaranteed to fly. Linking up at the beginning of the pandemic, the duo set out to create a collection of music that would transport them back to the recently closed clubs. Fusing elements of new beat, punk, dub and dark club music, 'Antídoto', which finds a home on Optimo Music Recordings, is packed with fuel to ignite the dance floor.

Back for round two, mysterious imprint, MILF Recordings arrives with another threesome of perfectly sensual dubs from your favorite producer, “Unknown Artist.”  
Kicking off the EP, “Guilty Desire”, sets the dark tones early, with your traditional disco-tech syncopated bass line, over classic drums, both elements that now begin to feel like a familiar theme for MILF.  The track begins modestly, and then evolves into a ghostbusters-esque middle section, before closing out with a swirling, luxurious, analog filter sweep, another element that starts to feel like a key part of the label’s overall sonic aesthetic.  “Infinitits,” the EP’s second track, once more, takes the slower approach, bringing the tempo down below 110 bpm, and relying on the oscillating bass to slowly reel you in, while flanging, stereo, elements are added in a leisurely, hypnotizing, manner, over the track’s 7 minute downtempo journey.  With only a few select elements, the piece succeeds in giving off a grooving, “minimal disco” feel; A fitting ode to the top heavy.  The final track, “Don d’Orgasmes”, perhaps the heaviest of the three, simply due to the absolutely massive sub bass tones, and the only track on this particular EP to use what appear to be actual sex samples (remember MILF001?), provides another effective channel for visceral dance moves at your favorite, local fetish themed rave, or party.  While the three works clearly have a retro influence, the third, in particular, gives off an especially specific “80’s era electro” feel, again, due to the spot on synth programming.  All together, MILF002 delivers another set of tastefully racy, though still surprisingly easy to enjoy, dance floor grooves, as always, intended for mature audiences, only.

Our well-received 'Muy Duro' VA series reaches its ninth edition loaded with acid sounds, hypnotic percussions, booming basses, blips, noises and a lot of energy. For this edition we have the pleasure to present music from Enzio Etchaberri, Theus Mago & Coast2c, Zillas On Acid, Mike Sacchetti & Chas, and ZEA.

The compilation opener is "Vow" by Enzio Etchaberri also known as Etcha. A slow, fat and frisky cut. The percussion takes you up and down, while the atmosphere feels like being inside a sound blender. It’s followed by the collaboration between Theus Mago and the modular synthesis crack, Coast2c. “Dead Piano” a track influenced by rave music and acid techno, with a resonant bass, sharp percussions and an obscure and deep melody.

The North American duo, Zillas On Acid, presents "Proteus", a slow and brutal cut loaded with funky psychedelic sounds, reverberating vocals, a hypnotic bass line and synthesizers born from the void. "The Revenge of Los Tropicales", the collaboration between Mike Sacchetti & Chas, a somniferous and latin cut filled with percussions and psychotropic keyboards that will make you fantasize. Closing the VA is ZEA with "Generator Machine", a powerful and edged cut with phantasmagoric synths and fuzzy vocals out of a science fiction movie.
