A long walk was at the apex of most days; sometimes the route was the same, sometimes they took a punt. That was the beauty of living in the countryside, there was a never-ending supply of nature to explore. Of course, the woodland walks and far-reaching cornfields had become familiar after all these years of living here, but every now and then they'd stumble upon a hidden paradise.

Hot on the heels of Daniel Monaco & Sauvage World's EP earlier this month, San Francisco's Roam Recordings welcome Australian-born, New York-based producer Kate Stein. Marking her debut release, 'Scenic Byway' offers two original cuts that display Kate's knack for crafting hypnotic melodies and low rumbling bass lines, backed up by two remixes on the flip from Perel and Zillas On Acid.

We here at Discobelle got the scoop on the exclusive premiere of track "Magia" taken from the upcoming @localsuicide And @cursesforever EP, which will be out tomorrow Friday March 22nd (500 hand stamped 12" vinyl only) via UK label @justtusk.

Tusk Wax 28 is a collaboration between NYC born, Berlin-based artist Curses and the otherworldly "techno-disco" Greek-German outfit Local Suicide. The pairing seems like a match made in heaven, especially seeing as both artists are known for exploring the darker side of dance music.

"Magia" kicks off the release and it's a steadfast and seductive piece of slo-mo disco with spaced out synths and eerie vocals that wouldn't be out of place in an 80's horror movie.

Local Suicide And Curses - Magia [Discobelle premiere]

We thought these weird times might be appropriate to share our own interpretation of Depeche Mode's classic 'The Sun and the Rainfall'.

This was intially planned as a bonus track for our first long player, nearly four years ago. It was meant to be the 11th track. But we've waited far too long. Many of you will probably find this familiar. We first didn't want to release our LP ourselves, sent a bunch of demos out, then waited on many different opportunities...it's always "a little bit too much of this" or "not enough of that", and time goes on.
Of course, if we were producing that album 'Nightshades' today, we might do it slightly differently, there are a few "mistakes" in there, but it has the merit of being honest and draw a pretty faithful picture of what we like in electronic music. 'The Sun and the Rainfall' sums that pretty well.

Ton Globiter joins Wrong Era with a release that hits like a juggernaut. The Lithuanian local joins the International sister to Slow Motion Music, with a mini Album that resonates the effect Lithuania has on music.
A sparse, driven, dirty framework with proto/early Chicago influences, saturated with acid squelches and dispersed vocals. A never disturbing anxiety combines to fuel the intensity of the first five tracks. Castlevania shifts the chaos parameters to a more melodic, but still out there, smoke-machine anthem. Franz Scala brings proceedings back down to Earth with his remix, landing in a sunrise moment sometime in early eighties New York.
