Old Samuel originally formed in 2011 as a two-piece acoustic outfit consisting of Cardiff stalwarts Britt & Chris. Old Samuel have evolved into a three-piece over time with new drummer Alex injecting complexity and energy into the songs.

Influences include Ryan Adams, Neil Young, Pixies, Evan Dando & Elliott Smith.
