Dave Finney & The Procrastinators are a roots/pop/rock band from Boston. The band's origins go back to March of 2018, when singer-songwriter Dave Finney released a 5 song EP of his original songs (available on Bandcamp). Recorded at Woolly Mammoth Sound in Waltham, MA, the EP featured some of Boston’s top session players, including Russell Chudnofsky, Dave Westner and Josh Kantor. When it was time for Dave to put together a band to play shows, he hooked up with 3 members of the long-running Boston rock band Powderhouse - Ray Boyce (bass), Fred Pickard (guitar) and Steve McDonough (drums) - and The Procrastinators were born. The band's debut EP, delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was finally released in May of 2021 and is available on Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, iTunes and all major streaming and download platforms.

Looking to expand their sound, the Procrastinators recruited multi-instrumentalist Linas "Casey" Jauniskis to join the band in the fall of 2021. New drummer Guy Seeley came on-board in early 2022. The Procrastinators' live performances not only showcase Dave’s original songs, but also fun, under-the-radar cover songs. The band are ready to play your bar, club, function, theatre, or and can customize a song list to satisfy any crowd, venue or set length. For example, the Procrastinators can play up to 3 sets of originals and covers (usually a 50/50 mix), but can also play a "Showcase" set of just original material. The Procrastinators latest album, "Procrastination Songs Vol. 2", was released in July of 2023 and features their current new line-up:

"Do you have somewhere you can go, somewhere safe to be yourself?” sings songwriter Teresa Mastrorilli in the tune “Solace”, the first track from the new Powderhouse EP “Life in Black and White” (FOC Records, Sep. 2014). These lyrics encapsulate the band’s approach to recording the new album, retreating to their bass player’s studio where the comfortable and familiar environment brought out the best in everyone. The 5 songs on the EP reflect the band’s ability to seamlessly integrate multiple genres, such as singer-songwriter (Solace), power-pop (Green Light), indie/dream pop (I’ll Know I’m There), alt-country (No For An Answer) and garage rock (La Sirena). Powderhouse has truly hit its stride in both songwriting and arranging on the EP, recorded and produced by Ray Boyce at FOC Studios and mastered by Mike Burke at Specialized Mastering. The band will celebrate with a CD release show at The Middle East on Friday Sep. 26th, opening for Bloodshot Records recording artist Lydia Loveless.

Powderhouse first came together at the end of 2006, when Teresa approached the veteran rhythm section of Kevin Moylan and Ray Boyce to help her record some of her songs. That led to the formation of Powderhouse, who played their debut gig in May 2007. The band has since played successful shows at top clubs throughout the Boston area, including Church, The Middle East, Hard Rock Café, Precinct, T.T. the Bears Place, Davis Square Theatre, Sally O’Briens, Copperfield's and Bills Bar. After adding lead guitarist Fred Pickard and keyboardist Art DaPrato to the line-up in 2008, Powderhouse released their full-length debut album, "In The Meantime” in July 2010. The track "Keeping My Heart" was voted onto the Top 5 Local Song Poll on WZLX/Boston Emissions for 4 weeks and songs from the album received airplay on both terrestrial and Internet radio. Positive reviews appeared in The Deli Magazine, Metronome Magazine, WomensRadio Music Review and elsewhere. The band released a follow-up EP entitled “Through The Air” in Nov. 2012, playing lots of shows to support that EP, which also received solid reviews and radio airplay. Powderhouse has been selected to play the International Pop Overthrow Festival 3 times (’09. ’10 & ’13), and was twice featured as the "Soundtrack" artist of the day on NECN’s "The Morning Show". Several Powderhouse songs were also placed in the soundtrack of the film "Wingman” (2011).

Powderhouse is a female-fronted original rock band from Boston, recently reunited after a 5 year hiatus.

Powderhouse first came together in early 2007, when Teresa approached bassist/producer Ray Boyce and drummer Kevin Moylan to help her record some of her original songs. That meeting led to the formation of Powderhouse, who played their debut gig in May 2007. The EP “Life in Black and White” was released in September of 2014, which Powderhouse celebrated with a CD release show at The Middle East opening for Lydia Loveless. After a personnel change in 2016 (Steve McDonough replacing founding drummer Kevin Moylan), the band hit the studio to record a batch of new songs. The EP “Spark” was released in November or 2017 (available in all digital formats), produced by Ray Boyce at FOC Studios in Newton MA and mastered by Pete Weiss at Verdant Studio in Athens VT. Soon thereafter, the band went on hiatus. But after a 5 year break, the band's original lineup reunited to perform at the Boston edition of the International Pop Overthrow Festival on Nov. 18, 2022. The success of that reunion show inspired the band to book more gigs and record new music, releasing the single “Summer Girl” (b/w “Moonshine) in July 2024. After playing multiple shows to promote their new music, keyboardist Art Daprato and drummer Kevin Moylan left the band at the end of 2024. Now a 4 piece, Powderhouse re-emerged in the spring of 2025 with new drummer Clark Goodpaster (x-The Dark, x-Atom Said, x-Hummingbird Syndicate). The Rotary Prophets are a roots rock band based in Somerville MA. Primarily powered by the evocative story songs and narratives of singer-songwriter John Maloney, along with song contributions from keyboardist Ted Collins and guitarist Damon Vrettos, the Rotary Prophets have quickly emerged as powerful and unique voice within the Boston music scene. The band's sound falls somewhere between the alt-country of Son Volt and the traditional americana of The Band, tempered with hints of rockabilly, blues, power-pop and classic rock. 

Featuring past and current members of the bands Monophonic, Lorntell, The Rationales, The Rapid Shave, Dearborn Valley, Powderhouse, Up From The Sky and The Silver Lining, the Rotary Prophets first came together in the fall of 2012 and played its first gig at the Lizard Lounge in January, 2013. They have already shared the stage with local acts like Glenn Yoder, Autum Hollow, Airplane, the Summer Villians, Bryan Pero, New Million Box, The Longwalls, Brendan Boogie, Powderhouse and Nate Leavitt. A 5 song EP was released on Sept. 17. 2013, and the band will be playing shows throughout the Northeast to promote the album.
