Krooked Barz is a Hip-Hop/Rap Recording Artist , Songwriter, Producer and Beatmaker from the North End of Winnipeg, Manitoba,Canada. 

KROOKED BARZ was born in Winnipeg,MB the capital and largest city of the province of Manitoba, and the seventh-most populated city in Canada with a population just under million ( 825,000 , as of 2021)
Starting off with a love of music from a young age , the young MC started writing songs by the time he was 10. 
Between the ages of 10 - 14 ,  Barz started getting into trouble with the law and imitating the older youth in his neighborhood who often NEVER went to school , smoked weed , had jewellery , had money , sold drugs and were involved with gangs/criminal lifestyles.

At the age of 11 A Young Krooked Barz had been arrested for mischief to property under $5000 for doing graffiti(tagging.) Too young to be formally processed and criminally charged as a pre-teenager for such a minor offence he received community service hours and was under what he says 
was  random  check ups and harrasment.
 By the age of 14 he was routinely spending time in the Manitoba Youth Center also known as MYC(a Juvenial detention center for young offenders in the province of Manitoba)for breaching his court conditions in which he was on bail for an assault with a weapon dating from 2006 when he was 12 along with some Break & Enters and a total of x7 Mischief to property under $5000 stemming from a day of "Bombing" urban slang for going out across the city and doing graffiti. That day the young KROOKED BARZ was arrested for the graffiti spree and held with no bail because of the other pending charges with his childhood friend KYLE EARL also known as KONGOE. 
Kyle Earl was one of Krooked Barz closest friends and the two actually ended up living together in a group home/youth shelter in the North End of Winnipeg.. ,, Kyle or KONGOE as they called him was also aspiring to rap and  would be Krooked Barz  first friend to die in a gang related shootout in the West End of Winnipeg 2 years later . Kyle Earls  death really messed with krooked barz mentally & emotionally for a while after receiving news of his death while Krooked Barz was in Agassiz Youth Center on Robbery charges.
As kids they would just hangout , do stick-ups , sell drugs , do graffiti , freestyle and write rhymes with dreams of one day being accepted by society , having a family of their own and being able to make it out the hood. 
After Kongoes death Barz really started re-thinking the "Gang-Life" and  was released from juvie in 2010 at the age of 15 . Not surprised Krooked Barz was released right back to the cold streets of Winnipeg into a foster home in North-Winnipeg and in a few months was back in jail for a stolen vehicle, Break and enter and a home invasion. 
AT THAT POINT NOTHING HAD CHANGED.

At the age of 14 under the alias KonFined(due to his length of time spent in and out of youth correctional facilities.) he had recorded his first song ever with fellow MC "Nyle Freeze" (Capuno East) called headed for the top , the sound quality was terrible however you can hear the enthusiasm and potential in the young artists , too bad Barz was getting into trouble , living in the streets or living in jail . After spending almost all of his youth in Juvenile jail and even turning 18 in there and getting out 2 days later , KonFined or The "Don Waun" started going by a new hip-hop moniker/stage name .. 
KROOKED BARZ , a name he had accquired initially as a nickname from a fellow inmate . It was around this time (2012)that he had started to take his music a little bit more seriousley and released his His Debut Mixtape As "Krooked Barz" The Overgrind Volume 1 

His 2nd Mixtape was Entitled "Year Of the Grind: Sorry 4 The Wait"( The Double Mixtape) due too a few setbacks on the release of the mixtape which turned out to be a 2 disk edition, however it was finally released in early 2016 .. He is Currently at work on his 3rd mixtape Out On Bail .
