The rubato piano was the centerpiece of the composition and then I glued the beat/sub bass to it. Recording piano first and then the drums gave a nice elasticity to the rhythmic element of the track.

Second serious try with dawless. Roland JD 800, Behringer Oddy, MFB Synth Lite 2, TD 3, Jomox Xbase 09, RD 8 and Waldorf Blofeld. Simple theme in E , kind of got lost in the hihats at the end :)Everything played with my hands or sequenced by Beatstep Pro.

Kick using AJH Minimod VCO/VCF and RingSM.  Mutable Rings pitch generated by cycling Maths envelope, quantized by Disting mk4.  ADDAC 206 used to switch Rings "position" modulation source between an envelope, LFO, and none.  Shapeshifter wiggled manually at low volume in background.  Shapeshifter and kick through (basically) Rainmaker's 4NoteSwing preset.
