Three Spheres, Kodomo’s 4th full length album emerges out of the isolation of 2020, hitting an emotional space more potent than his previous work. 

Collaborators include Clarinetist and Saxophonist Chet Doxas, Puremagnetik software/sound designer Micah Frank, and guitarist Philipp Eltz.  

Working primarily out of his studio in Portland Maine, Child worked out his initial ideas on his piano while making heavy use of his modular system to create the drones, textures and nuanced beats which are dominant throughout the album.  The washed out shoe gazed synths, frenetic IDM beats, electro bass, and the production details are tinted with a fragility conveying themes of isolation, struggle, and perseverance.

Pieces For Piano is a collection of piano works composed by Chris Child (Kodomo) with the intention of creating something simple, intimate and quiet. Having spent most of his time creating music under the moniker Kodomo in the studio, Child felt he needed to get back to a more direct and immediate approach to his composition process. 

Pieces For Piano unfolds as 12 short pieces — each is distinct, but as in a collection, the parts are related to the whole.  The pieces are accompanied with soft field recordings and captivating effects, giving each piece the sense of a physical space. The recordings were taken from Child’s iPhone and handheld recorder in various locations throughout the U.S. while traveling.

Symbion Project interpretation & recording of Ludwig von Beethoven's 2nd movement (Allegretto), Symphony No. 7 in A Major, Opus 92.   Similar in spirit to the original recordings created for the albums "Wound Up by God or the Devil" (2007) and "Contrapasso" (2011),  only vintage and contemporary analog synthesizers were used as the instrumentation.   Inspiration for this recording comes from Wendy Carlos and Tarsem's "The Fall"

Synths used on this recording are Alesis Andromeda, Arp Odyssey model 2810, Memorymoog, and Moog modular.
