Yes. It's the return of DJ Marky. The Brazilian magician's been in the studio, wrapped up his debut solo artist album and is set to release it just in time for those summer BBQs, parties in the park and rooftop raves. 

Although he's no stranger to an LP - don't forget he hooked up with fellow Brazilian XRS for 2004 gem 'In Rotation' - this is the first time he'll be releasing his own, with his label Innerground Records its home. Celebrating 200 releases, Colorize is delighted to present Colorscapes Volume One.

The first in an annual series of exciting compilations, this is a landmark release for the label who recruits leading artists Matt Fax and Dezza for two thrilling mixes that feature 35 exclusive tracks showcasing the most exciting acts in Progressive, Deep and Melodic House.

On Colorscapes Volume One, Matt Fax and Dezza bring together established Colorize names like PRAANA, Andre Sobota, Anden, Sound Quelle, Boxer, Hexlogic and Milkwish with exciting label newcomers like Pete K, Murtagh, Rylan Taggart, farfetch'd, Andromedha and Tripswitch. Matt Fax brings two electrifying remixes to the compilation with 2005 techno sensation 'Rej' by German act Âme and British DJ/Producer D.O.D.'s 2018 house hit 'Glow' getting reworked in remarkable fashion. The mixes build and swell organically with both DJs flexing their talents effortlessly, creating two exhilarating mixes that will take you on a voyage into the deep and progressive.

With Matt Fax and Dezza reaching new heights as artists and becoming concrete names in the world of Progressive House, this compilation comes at an exciting time for Colorize. Since his first release on the label in 2013, Matt Fax has seen immense growth as a producer through releasing impressive, genre-expanding singles and his debut artist album Contrast in 2017, and as a DJ having played a run of shows from Europe to Asia in 2019 as well as the Progressive Stage at Electronic Family in the Netherlands. Canadian DJ/Producer Dezza has also had a whirlwind of a year, releasing his debut artist album Cosmos, a tour of Australia, ASOT900 and then playing at the Budlight Dreams festival in Toronto in June. The two artists also headlined a sold-out show at London's Oval Space in July for the first Colorize event.

Colorscapes Volume One will be supported by a launch party at London's renowned venue Egg on the 22nd of September which will see Matt Fax and Dezza headline with support from Amy Wiles, Boxer, Sound Quelle and Steve Brian pres. Cabriolet Paris. An official label event will also be held in October during Amsterdam Dance Event, followed by a North American co-headline tour from Matt Fax and Dezza that will feature other prominent Colorize artists.

Murtagh brings his debut release to Colorize with fantastic single 'Rush / Leaving'. 

The Irish producer made his first appearance on Colorize in Dezza's mix for the 'Colorscapes' compilation, taking the Canadian's ambient track 'Apollo' and cranking it to 10 with a fierce Progressive House remix. 

Now he brings his first solo release to Colorize. 'Rush' is dynamic and energetic with its arpeggiated synths building unstoppable momentum while ambient track 'Leaving' acts as the perfect foil to the opener's intensity, drifting in and out of focus, precariously avoiding an explosion into life.

Wrapping up an exciting 2019 for Colorize and for themselves, Maltese producer duo Undefined (MT) unveil five tracks that together form a cohesive, engaging project, demonstrating their tight production skill and ability to craft dynamic House music.

Opening track 'Holma' features glistening synth arps and puts their polished approach on fine display, while second track 'Kappar' features a slick transition into darker, more nebulous territory. From 'V Classic' to 'Planet V' and beyond, the V Recordings camp have been scene leaders in creating era-defining, zeitgeist-capturing compilations. And, following on from the retrospective 'Foundation' project, it's now time for another chapter in the story - 'Future'

Bryan Gee, widely known as one of the most influential selectors and A&R men in the business, has taken his time to compile and curate something that's more than just another album. This is Bryan's personal vision of what's to come, not only for the V brand, but for Drum & Bass music as a whole.
Never swayed by fashions, fads and sub-genre divisions, Bryan and Jumpin Jack Frost's family of labels have been a benchmark for quality from time immemorial. So, when they call this album 'Future', that comes with authority.

For V Recordings, the future is as much about building on what's come before as it is about brand new innovations. So, we see contemporary masters like Benny L, Voltage and L-Side pay homage to the classics with remixes of Roni Size, Ray Keith, Krust and Dillinja. Artificial Intelligence go back in on their anthem 'Uprising' to give it a cutting-edge reconfiguration, and Dr Meaker's 'Fighter' gets the S.P.Y treatment.

Then there are the 2020 visions of artists from across the spectrum of Drum & Bass music. The likes of Alibi, Paul T & Edward Oberon, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, DJ Marky & Dirtbag, Bladerunner, Zero T, Command Strange, Carlito & Addiction, Jonny L & Need for Mirrors deliver darkness and light, savagery and euphoria, musicality and hype in equal measure. And that's just scratching the surface.

The future that this album sets out before us is one where pigeon-holes and categories are unimportant. Certified legends rub shoulders with breakthrough artists. Heavyweight dancefloor bangers co-exist with soulfully melodic flavours. This music is unified, not by style or by marketability, but purely by the vibe. If that's what a V Recordings future looks like, we can relax. The scene is in safe hands.
