Monochrome presents, 𝖕𝖗𝖎𝖓𝖙𝖊𝖒𝖕𝖘 𝖑𝓥 : Nicolas Rifo, Intelligence UFO.

This spring, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on percussive rhythms between Ambient, Deep Techno and Drum & Bass.

Artist biography :
Originally from Lyon, Nicolas Rifo is an artist who likes to explore unexploited sonic horizons. 
Not confined to a set rhythm, it's the psychedelic aspect of the music that interests him. His world is often defined by metallic textures, deep drones and hypnotic rhythms. 
Highly inspired by science fiction and space sounds, he is behind the recent Intelligence UFO label, which is the basis of his imagination.

Contrast

This mix has ended up being a pretty sentimental one for me. Taking a very influential records from the very beginnings of me forming my musical identity in Humanfly along with numerous obsessions I’ve had over the years and tying them altogether with this Terry Riley record I found in my late father’s record collection. Contrasting very different parts of my life in a very chaotic way.
