Enough talking and let's introduce @rasmuskirkegaard our Danish newcomer. His EP Artsyficial Intelligence has just been released on Matière, therefore we logically warmly welcome him for the 34th episode of our podcast series!

He opens the gate of his hybrid universe during a 1h-mix full of fast techno, but also noisy textures and sonorities that sometimes recall the organic sounds of forest psy 🌀
The mix carries us in a trip where drums are central and convey a groove that softly flirts with a cold trance. The track selection is also craftily built up, and takes us into another dimension, alternating relentless rhythms with more quiet moments.

We highly recommend to dive into this psychedelic journey!

Spreading their time across London and Berlin, @cinthiciza is naturally a familiar face in both cities, and their sound is rapidly reaching similar levels of prominence. 

Looped vocals, minimalist percussions and Goa inspired synths created ÇINTH, the project of DJ and fashion practitioner; Dillon Grace - aiming for to hold the listener in a relentless, sensual state of trance throughout their sets and design work. Strong reception amongst the trance underground including Crude Berlin and Madrid based Collective Eigenblau has given ÇINTH the platform to experiment with melodic textures and unexpected, reactive turns throughout their sets.

ÇINTH created this week’s DETECT with a signature high BPM approach to more hypnotic dub techno and psytrance tracks. Beginning darker before progressively twisting to more melodic tracks with energised synths towards the second half.

With a meticulous yet brutal blend of hard dance, hyper trance, breaks, and relentless new-age basslines, his mixes strike the ideal balance between terror and beauty; intertwining sonic blasts, anthemic roars, and distorted kicks to depict a vision of the future that is equal parts primal and alien.

As one of the minds behind Haptic, one of Melbourne's fastest growing hard dance collectives, DJ SP33DIAL has perfected the art of creating atmospheres on the dancefloor; those special moments of blurry euphoria where you connect with your deepest hedonistic desires. The first tape originates in Clarissa Sector, the central data center of the now fallen Gelatin Prime Colony. Originally aiming to provide security by gatekeeping all data flows, the sector gradually targeted all opposition to the status quo by remotely shutting down augmented body parts of combative meta-humans. Since the demise of its original government, Clarissa Sector has been a contested space, and is currently being controlled by an anonymous group of bio-hackers and data anarchists. They support full autonomy over personal body enhancements for all augmented individuals and are now releasing a new tape of magnetic field recordings and drone soundscapes to support their cause.

Alessio Sanna started his artistic journey as a student of Rudra Béjart in Lausanne. After 10 years of work in the choreographic field, he shifted his focus from the body to the sound, and began a deep research that brought him to explore the “art of noises”, learning the analog synthesis of frequencies through his Modular System. After settling in Berlin he has been alternating between dancefloor targeted productions and rather experimental projects. In close collaboration with longtime friend and dancer Lunella Cherchi he’s at present involved in project that aim to condensate his previous experience as a choreographic artist and the new ones as musician.

Raised in the Jazz music mileu, Peahlyfe cut the cord and transmorphed into a Hydra-sonic electronic musician that shook&seduced the Copenhagen fast-paced techno scene, claiming their seat along with the honorable Fast Forward gang. 

Peachlyfe’s productions and live-sets rebelliously weave across genres, trippy melodies cut with heavy slaps while slithering whispers in your ear sowing the dismantlement of the ‘cistem’. Their previous EP “All Tits are Real, All Money is Fake, All Hail Satan” is an ode to that anarchic-playfulness, a marvellous feat in blending rave-rush joy and queer defiance.

 For this Crystal Series, Peachlyfe carries all the longing for a dancefloor and threads a slow-burn moody trip. First, they set our mind on a loopy trance, bassy, steady, time-stretching rising steps. The mind inflammation then takes our limbs. Amidst this puppetry, with a sly-sudden release of the straps, Peachlyfe generates euphoria and unruly movements. Where did this smile on our faces come from? All of a sudden we are dancing.
