We are happy to host some fresh new talent from Stuttgart Germany this time, presenting Egotot for our 70th podcast edition. The young DJ and producer is the founder of Schimmer Records, a forward-thinking label that promotes a more minimalisitc and modern approach to techno, focusing on hypnotic soundscapes and deep grooves. With its sub-label groovebox it also offers classy house tunes as well. Egotot takes us on a journey with this mix, starting off with atmospehric and dubby cuts, and then steadily progressing in tempo and temprament, culminating in the kind of tracks you might here in a club set, all while maintaining his signature sound of complex rhythms and trippy samples. This same sound can also be heard in his own productions, which are also definitely worth checking out!

Vohkinne is a DJ and producer from Australia. For 20 years he's been a staple of the techno scene in his home town of Melbourne, gaining respect from his peers both near and far for his unwavering dedication to dark, atmospheric and steely techno.

As the label head of Atrophic Society, Vohkinne has enjoyed the success of his own tracks as well as father the releases of Ben Sims, Brendon Moeller, Tripeo, Patrik Skoog, Material Object, DJ Spider, Ground Loop, Gotshell, Jeff Derringer, Xhin. Savas Pascalidis, and Audio Injection.

He has solidified his position in the global techno scene with releases on Sample & Hold, Kynant, Out-ER, TMM Records, Southern Lights, MindTrip and Semantica, and stands as one of Australia's biggest exports in techno.

Being an avid record collector and enthusiast of Techno and House - his DJ sets and tracks combine the raw, dark and deep elements of these musical forms with a firm nod in the direction of Detroit. With releases on Sino punching him onto the international scene it was no surprise he would land further releases on labels like knotweed and Freddy K’s Key Vinyl.

This declaration of creative awareness must have gone through the mind of the Spanish DJ Anika Kunst on more than one occasion since she started out as a DJ in 2001. Whenever she deejays in Barcelona or Ibiza (the two places she lays her hat when she isn’t touring), you can tell that her techno, equally influenced by German and American sounds, is the cornerstone of her sets. Well, you can tell if you are one of those weird people on the dance floor who has time to pay attention to what is playing and isn’t dancing. Because the charismatic creator of Chapter Records won’t let you look at her whilst she is looking at you: she deejays with her eyes on the dance floor. She reads the audience, manipulates the mood and reads the night. She rules.
