We are delighted to welcome @karliemarxinthemix into our mix series, DETECT series.

A daughter of the London’s queer underground, Karlie Marx has long carved her own path; one that now leads her to FOLD. 

With a reputation for dramatic, technical, and joyful sets, her tastes in techno lie in its funky, futuristic side, favouring old school rhythms with cutting edge sound design. This DETECT is no exception, as she reaches from out from the genre and into electro, grime and bassline.

Away from her own musical endeavours, Karlie is the mother of the lesbian-focused event series ‘PLASTYK’ and the founder of ‘NEUROTICA’ - a yearly celebration that brings international trans talent back home.

She made her UNFOLD debut in October 2024, and holds a residency at Samantha Togni’s Boudica, also held within our four walls.
