Jimpster delivered some great releases in 2023, most notably his Natural Child collab EP with Crackazat as well as his Tribute EP featuring South African vocalist Mavhungu including heavy Osunlade remixes. He also produced some of his best remixes to date including Thakzin’s Don’t Let Me See, Blaze’s Wonderland and Detroit Rising’s Rocket Love. It’s always a good day to announce a new Jimpster EP on Freerange and with two captivating originals plus a stunning Atjazz remix you’re in for a treat!

Next up we have The Passion which builds a deep and jazzy mood around a 4 bar piano progression whilst the sampled interviewee gives his insight into how he maintains his passion for music. London based trumpet player KingCrowney adds some lovely horn parts, emphasising the jazz feel to compliment the spoken word.

Released initially on Stay True Sounds in 2023, Be Real blends broken beat, jazz, and soulful house - a standout track from Crackazat, the Bristol-born producer known for warm chords and tight, bass-led melodies. 

Now China Charmeleon delivers two new versions: one built for the dancefloor, the other stripped down for deeper moments. Both carry his signature sound: percussive, emotive, and rooted in South Africa’s house scene.

PREMIERE: Inkswel & Erin Buku 'Find Your Way feat Leonard Charles' [Apparel Music]

FOLIAGE RECORDS offers an emphatic conclusion to 2012 with the full release of ZIGGY FUNK and TALIWA’s long anticipated single EVERYDAY. 

London-based ZIGGY FUNK and TALIWA teased YASS’ remixes of EVERYDAY at the tail end of last year, YASS’ jazzy house flow building huge global hype.  Here, now, comes the full package, FRANKIE FELICIANO and FISH GO DEEP providing smart new remixes alongside that stunning original production.

An original production that swells from sharp hi-hat 4-4 and smouldering acid-bass into melancholic piano and violin, and TALIWA’s sweet and sincere vocals about doomed love and finding the strength to carry on. EVERYDAY swings but with real purpose.

Legendary New York house producer FRANKIE FELICIANO offers the first of FOLIAGE’s new remixes on an altogether more upbeat tip. Jazzy synths play across snappy, percussive beats and bouncin’ b-line, both lightening and galvanising TALIWA’s reflections. Irish underground duo FISH GO DEEP follows up with some edgier, moodier reflections, their impressive main remix an atmospheric fusion of echoed handclaps, scissoring rhythms, hard, metallic synths and enigmatic strings. Here, TALIWA is stripped right back; the groove totally in charge; FISH GO DEEP’s bonus instrumental only adds to its power.
